Alex Hylton is a young up and coming comedian in the East Midlands area. Using a random door on the outside of the building with a bed sheet attached to create the white background. These are the promotion shots now used.

This is part of an ongoing project. I thought it would be interesting to look around me and see what could be interpreted as faces in every day ordinary objects. The art of miming originated in ancient Greece, and the word mime is taken from a masked artist named 'Pantomimus'. Miming is the art of conveying a message through exaggerated gestures or body movements without the use of words or props.
Mimes often paint their faces white and wear all black to draw attention to their body movements. The white full-face make-up is there to heighten the dramatic impact of the movements and expressions. This make-up projects the face of “Everyman” during the performance, which enables all members of the audience to identify with the situation.
Homer Page (1918–1985) was an American documentary photographer whose most famous photographs were taken in New York City. Born in Oakland, California, Page studied art and social psychology at the University of California. His mentor, photographer Dorothea Lange, encouraged him to take up photography in 1944. By 1947, he was featured in a major show at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Page received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1949 and spent a year documenting modern urban culture, primarily by photographing people on the streets of New York City. Most of his subjects appeared unaware of his presence.
