1) SB-600, 1/2 CTO, behind 1/8" Honl grid, front left of subject at about 6 ft away; about 3 ft above subject height. M 1/16 power, 24mm zoom.

2) SB-600, Full CTO, behind 35" shoot through umbrella, about 4ft right of subject. M 1/32 power, 24mm zoom. Both flashes wirelessly triggered via CLS..

I snuck around the corner and snapped a shot of my daughter's expression when I told her I needed the phone.

Now...this IS very silly.

We were running out of ideas for real looking facial expressions.

So what better than to goof around with our great grandmother's glasses.

Two men play Shogi, the Japanese strategy board game also known as Japanese chess or the Generals' Game, on Minato Park, Nagasaki.

In Shogi (from shou-general and gi-board game) there are twenty wedge-shaped pieces of slightly different sizes for each player, placed on a 9x9 board (usually rectangular). Except for the kings that have different markings and colors, opposing pieces are identical and what belongs to whom is indicated by the way the pieces are placed on the board (facing forward toward the opponent's side). All pieces except the king and the gold general have a reverse side, which is revealed when a piece is promoted (the promotion zone is at the furthest one-third of the board). The goal of the two players (Sente-person with the first move and Gote-person with the second move) is to checkmate the opponent’s king (ōshō-king general). Interestingly, a game can end if a player performs an illegal move or if the same game position occurs four times with the same player to move (Sennichite).
