This cutie, is an adorable little one!! I wanted to capture her funny spirit, (in addition to her rare cuteness) she is a comedian as well.
Light texture added to background.
Nelson has been practising on a lot of different facial expressions lately.
This one is the guilty face....
I have no idea if this condition is a pose for a selfie or her natural appearance. All I know is I took two shots of her at different times and she's got the same goofy expression in both instances. I do hope she really wants the whole world to see her like this...
I believe the song in question was Otis Redding's "Try A Little Tenderness." I love the faces of these two dancers and their body language, especially the way the man is curving his tall frame in an exaggerated, comical way to be closer to the woman... She, on the other hand, is moving her torso and neck backward, trying to get farther away! He's puckering up, she's scowling... A brilliant bit of dance-acting...
Otis is one of my favorite American singer/composers. Although he was only 26 when he was tragically killed in a plane crash, his voice has a world-wise, melancholy quality that was inexplicable in terms of his young age, as if he'd lived hundreds of years. Truly a soulful man... Otis, I miss you!

update!: I found my program for the performance! The dancers are members of PHILADANCO (Philadelphia Dance Co.). This sequence shown is part of "Suite Otis," choreographed by George Faison in 1971, set to six songs by Otis Redding. Here is a New York Times review that includes a description of PHILADANCO's 1996 performance of this piece, among others.

Shooting Core at my home studio was a fun experience. He is such a natural and his multiple facial expressions were really fun to experiment.
This particular one is probably one of the pic of him that I really like! Love the shadows and his serious look :)
Thank you Core! I truly appreciate it :)

It is a sound like no other.
It resonates down into your soul. It is power. It is might.
It is the ultimate sound of Africa.
There is nothing like the sound of a lion's roar.
