Chinese supporters at Shunyi Rowing Lake. This man looks like he's been applying warpaint rather than facepaint - coupled with his expression (he didn't smile a lot), it all looked a bit too serious.

In the background, you can just see a group of miserable looking Germans: they were doing pretty badly in the race that was in progress.

A few of the many pics I ended up taking at my work's family fun day. It did in fact turn out to be fun!
