Halloween! This young man got his face painted at the Harvest Festival at Balistreri Vineyards in Denver.
Look at those pouty lips and the darkened eyes shadow! Who wouldn't want this in their make up drawer? At Face Paint, as you well know, they strive to put out only the best, and we want to share it with you! Doors are open!

late in march of 1999 while v was in her last month of pregnancy with katie... v often had trouble sleeping... so she would waddle to the kitchen and have a snack... typically a bowl of rice krispies... on this particular night... under a bright full moon... at about 3 am... v was sitting at the kitchen table with the only illumination being the moon light from the kitchen window... she was crunching to the rhythm of snap, crackle and pop... when a bit of motion in our back yard caught her eye... in the moon light she could see several black and white furry creatures scurrying about in the yard... this was about the time i stumbled out to the kitchen... v grabbed my hand and pointed me toward the window.... we silently watched somewhere around 10 skunks frolic around in our yard... some had to be babies... they were tiny... and they seemed to be dancing... almost bouncing along the ground... leaping across the yard playing some sort of wild skunk game... it was like a scene out of a disney movie... we commonly saw all sorts of critters.... but never skunks... and never like this!! we watched in awe... until ginger finally woke up and did her dog duty... running to the window thus sending the skunks scurrying back under our fence and out of the yard...
the next day, v&i decided that the skunks came to us that night to perform the coronation of the soon to be skunk princess... i mean what other explanation would be plausible? from that point on katie had earned the nickname "tinky" which is still quite a fitting title for her highness...
yesterday katie's brownie troop had their reward picnic/party earned by their cookie sales... the main attraction was a face painter hired by the troop. the face painter let the children pick from a portfolio of designs... tigers, butterflies, bunnies... but tinky's request was outside of the portfolio... katie was the face painter's first ever skunk princess...
