Practicing for the girls dressing up for World Book Day. We all had to have our faces painted. Vitty did mine and Bee did Rich's.
More than 1,200 runners, walkers and guests enjoyed ideal weather, delicious food and games at the fifth annual Laps with the Chaps 5K Run/Walk and second annual COD Food Truck Rally at the College of DuPage Glen Ellyn campus. Jake Waterman and Jessica Rangel were the top overall male and female finishers with times of 15:42.4 and 19:04.0, respectively. This year was Rangel’s second year taking top honors. Cristy Drwal (36:50.7) was “Middle of the Pack.” A total of 29 teams participated in the event, with “The DuPage Project” named fastest (15:57) and “We thought they said RUM” named “Luck of the Draw.”

This is the coolest kind of facepainting ever: airbrush. This is 1990 and my friend Erin and I had been at the Laguna Beach Sawdust Festival, which is a fun art fest that runs most of the second half of summer.
