The church is open again for congregational worship with Covid-19 restrictions. An anonymous donor gave these facemasks to the church.
Christmas shoppers december 2020, before the corona lock down. The women was wearing a face masks for protection. Two weeks later all shopping malls got shut down by the government.

I've been making several different styles of masks since March. Please wear a mask when you leave your house.
Not something that I ever thought I would have in my house, but times, and things, change. Having an essential worker still going out to the city everyday, face masks mean a little peace of mind! (pull back shot in comments)

Quite the topical image and I was surprised to see only a handful of people wearing face masks on that day as the MSM news was laden with 2019 Novel Coronavirus headlines. Just remember that this kind of surgical mask cannot protect you from infection. If can, for a short time (until saturated), protect others from your own infection though. Stay safe and wash your hands before you touch your face - enjoy!

In support of Maria and all who suffer from fibromyalgia.
About 15 years or so ago, I used to go and visit a lady who lived with her daughter and her family. I have never heard of fibromyalgia until she told me that she was suffering from this disease. What made me so sad was her daughter and family didn't believe her. I was happy when she told me that she finally found a seniors' housing where she got the help she needed.

Today the cruise ship MS Rotterdam, the flagship of the HAL (built by Fincantieri-Trieste in 1996) visited its homeport Rotterdam for the last time. It was a courtesy goodbye. Shown here is the aft side of the ship. The ship is sold by the HAL (together with all the other .......dam ships) to Fred Olsen Lines. After a much-needed maintenance/refit at the Damen shipyards, it will be named 'Borealis' (.......).
The season for all this is epitomized by the face mask worn. Due to the Covid19 pandemic, the cruise market (along with many other economic sectors) imploded, and most cruise companies are struggling. And HAL speeded up its already existing plans to sell its .....dam series of ships.
The ship, by the way, helped out during the early days of the Covid 19 crisis: "In March 2020, MS Rotterdam was dispatched to transport medical supplies to sister vessel MS Zaandam and take over non-infected passengers, after four passengers died there, and a lot of passengers and crew of MS Zaandam were found to have Covid 19 symptoms. 1400 not infected passengers were transferred from MS Zaandam to MS Rotterdam, to reduce the spread of the virus infection during Zaandam's journey to Fort Lauderdale (Fl). Both vessels were initially denied transit through the Panama Canal after local authorities claimed MS Zaandam posed an infection risk to the local community. Transit was granted the next day. After arrival in Fl., HAL used chartered aircraft to fly the non-American passengers home (Wiki – abridged and edited)."
Let's hope that the officers and crew will find new jobs at Fred Olsen's or other shipping companies.

This is the owner of Hunky Dory Vintage, a vintage clothing store on Brick Lane in East London. They reopened yesterday, and he was telling us that his local council have been a massive help in supporting his business during the lockdown. His landlord also agreed to a rent-break, so he' reasonably positive about the future.
