Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. It's clear that street shots from 2020 will be very easy to date when we look back upon them in years to come. Stay safe everyone!

street portrait part face by feej13. anyone who knows me knows lm a bit obsessed with parts off peoples faces and photographing them and eyes , one off the reasons is the first time l went out to do st photography l went with a st photography group and instantly wonder up to people to ask for portraits didnt know how to use my camera, or even change it from screen to viewfinder just bumbled about looked at screen and hoped for best have at least improved alittle since then after many hours off trail and error though have been still known to forget how to turn it on or panic ah its all dark broken oh no its not lens cap on , when l first went out saw a beautiful young man and felt his face just felt right to photograph just part off it its still one off my favorite shots, after that l often would see someone and see the part l wanted to photograhy sometimes l crop but alot off time l just do part off face, this one off young lady is as seen uncroped, also l have rely bad eyesight and one off my eyes is blurred so often when l see someone lm seeing part off their face clearer than rest so feels quit natural lm just learning rely but its fun to do, xx

Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Her 'Day of the Dead' style facemask definitely caught my eye and she was thrilled when I told her it was amazing. Nice to see her vigorously rubbing alcohol gel into her hands too. Stay safe everyone and have a great weekend of photography!

The painting: "Closed" by Martin Wong (1946-1999,) acrylic on canvas, 1985-1986, was part of the show "Around Days End: Art In Downtown New York, 1970-1986" at the Whitney Museum Of American Art. It is a dark, depressing, dystopic painting, very much a reflection of that neighborhood during that time period. Ironically, this is the same neighborhood where the new Whitney building now stands, revitalized by development and large infusions of cash: now home of some of the most expensive real estate in the city.

This show took place in late 2020, when the city was slowly reopening after COVID shutdowns. The mood was paranoid, and the Whitney limited visitors and required timed tickets, face masks, temperature checks, and (I'm not 100% sure now) proof of vaccination. So this painting and show suited the mood.

Adorned with facemask vinyl, ScotRails's 1H13 1333 Edinburgh to Inverness service (43145/43152) creeps past the crossing gates and into Blair Atholl. Such devices - the face mask, that is - will be be obligatory for a while at the village's store.

The former HR box and up starter BA7 can just be glimpsed.

A single use surgical-style face mask worn to the point that it is fluffy. That mask must be a Petri dish of disease in itself!

With a two metre distancing guideline still in force in Scotland and my usual style of getting closer than that in my candid shots, I found it really difficult to judge the distance and consequently had to crop this shot a little more than I would like. Stay safe everyone!

Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. Street photography has always been a valuable photographic documentary of life at a certain time in our history. I wonder if we would have seen similar images if street photography had been as prevalent in 1918. Stay safe everyone!

After a few short trips into the city to shoot street while wearing a facemask myself, I have noted that I am getting far more of a cautious reaction than ever before. I have had a few wonderful exchanges of smiles from behind masks but perhaps it is more difficult for most people to see the smile in the eyes. Stay safe out there!

It's so sunny and hot here (115 deg F)...I'll buy myself an ice cream first...

I'll upload more when I can ;)

Today's youth? I can't blame them - but what are their parents or role models telling them.

My afternoon nap was interrupted by some type of commotion in the front yard. I looked out the window and saw a group of the local branch of "Young Cherries Incorporated" gathering in a bunch and socializing.

I opened the front door and told the adolescent fruits to try and keep the noise down. I also voiced my concern that they were not social distancing and that only one smart cherry was wearing a mask.

Facemasks are mandatory in public transport from 1 june 2020 in the Netherlands.

We still have to get used to this new way of traveling.

I was slightly disappointed that I couldn't fit the whole scene in (without climbing on top of the bus shelter to get a little further back!) but I still find an emotional connection with this little scene. Photo taken Church Street, Sheffield

During our Covid lockdown, when facemasks were seen, it was a social excursion for animal lovers to meet over a cup of coffee.

I have never taken part in Flickr Fridays before but the theme of "Homemade" was one I could take part in. For my local hospital, I've been sewing buttoned headbands (to prevent the elastic on facemasks hurting ears) and washable laundry bags (for the safe transporting of uniforms home). These newly made ones will be heading to London to the NHS setting where my nephew works.

As lockdown starts to ease in the UK please stay alert out there. Masks, social distance, handwashing and good ventilation are key to keeping transmission rates down. Positive cases have stagnated and in some areas are rising again since the return of children to school so please be careful as things open up. Stay safe my friends!

Hands of time move us forward, never back. Only memories frozen in mind, can we reenact.

Discarded masks are another garbage that we find in lakes, rivers and streams. I don't think we're going to stop using them for long time. This one was surrounded by leaves on the frozen canal of my city.

Captured during the summer 'lull' in case rates on August 28th 2020. It sounds like the UK Prime Minister has already abandoned his 'cautious' approach and his plan to ease restrictions 'based on data and not dates' by announcing a series of dates whereby he will irreversibly revoke restrictions that are designed to keep us all safe.

Children spread diseases, they always have and they always will. Seeing that the current infection rate is highest amongst children who, frankly, have been in school at far higher numbers than 'essential workers children only' rates would suggest, we will have another surge in case loads within a couple of weeks of schools returning. Just look at the graphs for when schools opened up after the summer. Lockdown 4.0 will be needed the way this is going and while I understand that we cannot keep children out of school forever, there needs to be a better, and safer, plan implemented. Children are capable of wearing masks, washing hands. keeping distance and schooling on a rota system just as the WHO suggest they are. Sigh.

Stay safe everyone - we are not out of the woods yet!

We have to wear facemasks again until next Friday
