" Le monument aux Girondins, situé à Bordeaux place des Quinconces, a été élevé entre 1894 et 1901, à la mémoire des députés girondins victimes de la Terreur. Les Bordelais le nomment couramment « colonne des Girondins » ou « monument des Girondins ».
Il se compose d'un large socle encadré de deux bassins, ornés de chevaux et de groupes en bronze, et surmonté d'une colonne de 43 mètres où culmine (à 54 mètres de hauteur) la statue en bronze de la Liberté brisant ses chaînes.
Les groupes suivants figurent parmi les sculptures :
- vers le Grand Théâtre : le triomphe de la République. Au pied du char et de ses chevaux : Ignorance, Mensonge et Vice. Le quadrige des chevaux marins est une représentation du Bonheur "
New light toy (Pixelstick) arrived, and I got a chance to try it out late Saturday night.
Ooof ... lots of stuff I need to improve on. I missed the exposure on the background, had the light too bright on the stick, should have used a diffuser, will have to build a shield to prevent spill, etc. Lots to think about.
I'm thrilled with the product, but will need to improve my skill on its use.
