My name-sake hawk. The most social of North American raptors, these birds cooperate at nests and hunt together as a team. When hunting, a group of hawks surround their prey, flush it for another to catch, or take turns chasing it.

The Eurasian nuthatch or wood nuthatch (Sitta europaea) is a small passerine bird found throughout the Palearctic and in Europe, where its name is the nuthatch. Like other nuthatches, it is a short-tailed bird with a long bill, blue-grey upperparts and a black eye-stripe. It is a vocal bird with a repeated loud dwip call. There are more than 20 subspecies in three main groups; birds in the west of the range have orange-buff underparts and a white throat, those in Russia have whitish underparts, and those in the east have a similar appearance to European birds, but lack the white throat.
I was playing with my Laowa lens at 1am in Broken Arrows first good snow fall, maybe the third this season but nothing stuck on the other flurries.
This is one of the Dickcissels that turned up in southern Ontario this summer and he was fortunate to find a mate, hope they will be successful in their nesting attempt.

At just 517M (1,696 ft), this is not a tall mountain, but the great gouge seen here in it's Eastern flank bear witness to the many landslips from its sides down the years. The problem is that much of the lower parts of the mountain are comprised of unstable shales, leading to landslips, and the hill's alternative name of "Shivering Mountain".

Ostuni, 230 meters high and built on several hills, impresses with a picturesque old town.
It is located in the province of Brindisi, just 8 km from the Adriatic coast. In addition to wine, you can also find the oldest olive trees in Apulia around Ostuni. We visited this small town on a gloomy rainy day.
Ostuni, alta 230 metri e costruita su più colli, colpisce per il pittoresco centro storico.
La pittoresca cittadina si trova in provincia di Brindisi, a soli 8 km dalla costa adriatica. Oltre al vino, nei dintorni di Ostuni si trovano anche gli ulivi più antichi della Puglia. Abbiamo visitato questa piccola città in una cupa giornata di pioggia.
Ostuni, 230 Meter hoch gelegen und auf mehreren Hügeln erbaut, beeindruckt mit einer malerischen Altstadt.
Der malerische Ort liegt in der Provinz Brindisi, nur 8 km von der Adriaküste entfernt. Um Ostuni findet man neben Wein auch die ältesten Olivenbäume Apuliens. Wir besuchten diese kleine Stadt an einem düsteren Regentag.

So I am organizing my studio (the never ending quest...) and I came across one of my old working headshot portfolios from way back in the day when there was some art involved vs. today where it has evolved to something that is a cross between a passport photo and a yearbook picture. This is of the Spanish actress Issabela Camil first "Hollywood" headshot session.
I shot this with a Nikon F5 a Nikkor 70-200mm lens, a Westcott Sunlight reflector, and Iford HP5+ rated at 200iso
