Hi
When Sherree Kelly (SOMS Ref: 105279) completed her acceptance we provided a
photo not realising it needed to be a passport style photo so I have
attached another for your use if you consider it to be more suitable.

The Cass Scenic Railroad’s Lima-built Shay number 5 engine is turned around and pulls the train in reverse for the return trip to the home depot and shop in Cass
The Greenbrier Express leaves the town of Cass, West Virginia, and follows the Greenbrier River to the small mountain village of Durbin. The ride upriver to Durbin passes through a secluded wilderness portion of the 950,000-acre Monongahela National Forest featuring scenes of forested mountains at each turn of the river.
The original railroad was first constructed in 1902 by the old Chesapeake and Ohio Railway. Most of the line was abandoned in 1978. This trip travels on the northern 15-mile portion that was purchased by the West Virginia State Rail Authority. A catastrophic flood in 1985 washed out major portions of this line. The track has been recently been reconstructed.
We rode behind Shay number 5, the oldest and longest-operating locomotive at Cass. It was delivered in November 1905 for the original Cass-based railroad, West Virginia Spruce Lumber Co.’s Greenbrier & Elk River Rail Road. A rare treat to ride behind a 120 year old engine!
