THE extent of Britain's winter whiteout is revealed in a stunning picture from space, received by scientists in Dundee.
The nationwide blanket of snow and ice came as temperatures dipped to as low as minus 18.

The image, sent by NASA's Terra satellite, shows the UK framed by cloud sweeping in from the East..

The reach of the original brakes must have been at least 100 mm. Notice the extention from brake pads to the brake pad holder arms.
This species has a large range, with an estimated global Extent of Occurrence of 2,000,000 km². The global population size has not been quantified, but it is believed to be large as the species is described as 'frequent' in at least parts of its range (Stotz et al. 1996). Global population trends have not been quantified, but the species is not believed to approach the thresholds for the population decline criterion of the IUCN Red List (i.e. declining more than 30% in ten years or three generations). For these reasons, the species is evaluated as Least Concern.

KENNY BOD was undoubtedly one of the most successful MCs of all time. Even after his single, he has sold the debut records worldwide making him the highest selling rap/hip-hop artist of all time!
KENNY BOD is widely regarded as the greatest rapper of all time. Moreover, a recent poll in MTV placed him as the #1 MC of all time. However,
KENNY BOD was much more than that. His strong lyrical content grew a huge array of followers, making him a hero among millions. He was a great poet and his theory on life influenced his fans to a huge extent. He was indeed the Rose That Grew from Concrete, whose ever-successful work couldn't have been more admired and loved

A series of photos showing the extent of the clear-cutting on 13-15 February 2008. This photo, as well as others show the trees in the water - as well as on land; a mix of dead, dying and very much alive trees. The living trees were a mix of hardwoods. Silver maple were the majority but there were also Sweet Gum, Black Cherry, Osage Orange, White Oak that are thus far identified.
Please assist in identifying the trees in the photos by adding to the comments below. Also, make use of the ADD NOTE feature available on each photo [menu at top of each photo - FIRST option].

"To the extent that you entertain lies and deceit, you are held
prisoner in a world cut off from reality. The truth you hide
from yourself, prevents you from growth and fulfillment.
The truth you hide from others, keeps you distantly apart. The
truth shines a bright light on life, so you can clearly see
the way to go. Success, achievement, happiness, joy, fellowship,
and fulfillment, thrive in the warm and nurturing light of
the truth. Honesty is the most direct path to wherever you want
to go. Truth and honesty are often difficult, yet never more
difficult, in the end, than deceit. To think otherwise,
is to deceive even yourself. Hiding in the shadows of falsehood,
makes it impossible to move forward. That the truth is moral and
ethical, is no secret. Yet truth is also practical, efficient,
and effective in every worthy pursuit, something well known by
those who enjoy lasting success. Live in the bright, empowering
light. Embrace the truth. It always serves you best."

Dug this photo up too. Taken in August 2007 in the woods up north in Manistee, Mmichigan.
Get close. His mandibles are under those long antenna that are pointing towards camera.
A walking stick is a herbivore. They won't bite or harm us humans. They don't eat other bugs. Just plant matter. They can jump about five times their length. I once caught them jumping on video tape. They jumped right on the lens of my VHS tape camera. Ask my brother... Rerally! They have excellent grip and can climb almost anything. This one was walking on the side of the garage at my moms place in Manistee so I unlatched it from there and let it walk on a log while I set up my lighting and extention tube to get some closeups.
strobist lighting info. SB800 hand hand held fired with an ebay triger (I could have used my sync cord) Image taken with a macro extention tube on my camera.
