Since 1618 there is in Tripkau a church building. In 1757 it became by a simple hall construction without tower he-puts, and this timber-framed building also forms even today in the original substance the nave which was extended in 1864 by choir, sacristy and tower.
Only the loft is received from the old equipment from the 18th century; pulpit, font and altar have remained from the gothic equipment of the 19th century; the organ comes from 18.th century, has been put up only late in this church.
The church was renovated basically and initiated in 1998 again. The interior is from numerous cross motives passed through which are unique in the hannoverschen county church.
In 1952 a restricted area was furnished along the internal border. At this time compulsive forced migrations from the Elbvillages took place: code name "Vermin" and "Cornflower" by the order of the "Ministerium für Staatssicherheit (STASI). 21 villages were concerned by it in which the houses were torn off and were levelled which courts. Lower Manhattan from Jersey City’s Exchange Place back in 2018. The original Dutch colony of New Amsterdam only extended as far as present as present Wall Street. The Dutch formed the colony of New Netherland in 1624 by the Dutch West India Company and actually extended at one point to include all of present day Long Island, parts of Connecticut and parts of New Jersey. On the tip of the island of Manhattan was the successful colony and capital of New Amsterdam. 40 years later, a British naval squadron under the command of Colonel Richard Nicolls attacks New Amsterdam. The unpopular Dutch governor of New Amsterdam one Peter Stuyvesant was forced to surrender the capital of New Netherland because his Dutch subjects basically refused to defend the colony as they dislike Stuyvesant’s rule more than being under English rule. The organizer of the English mission, the Duke of York was honored with the renaming of the colony at the tip of Manhattan Island as the now English colony became New York.

The extended-range C-130E variant entered service in 1962 after being developed as an interim long-range transport for the Military Air Transport Service. Essentially a B-variant, the new designation resulted from installing 1,360 US gal (5,150 L) Sargent Fletcher external fuel tanks under each wing’s midsection and more powerful Allison T56-A-7A turboprops.
While the Military Airlift Command of the USAF was the primary operator of the C-130E, it also became a popular export model due to its increased range and avionics. The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) began taking delivery of four C-130Bs in 1960 and then 24 C-130Es beginning in 1964. The Hercules became the mainstay of the RCAF’s transport fleet.
In this image, the first Canadian CC-130E (serial number: 10305) sits on the apron in its original 1960s RCAF livery. The aircraft entered service with the 436th Transport Squadron (TS) and transferred to the 429th TS, 424th TRS, 435th TRS, and eventually, the 413th TRS in September 2011, stationed at CFB Winnipeg as a technical trainer. The CC-130E has been in storage since April 2012.

You might notice that the Red Kite is not Red. Many animals with 'Red' in their name are really an Orange colour, but the word Orange is a more recent addition to the English language. Red Admirals, Red Setters, Red Squirrels, Robin Red Breasts, even Red Headed Humans... all orange.

Val di Roda. Im Hintergrund sieht man die Cima di Val di Roda (2.791 m).
The Pala group (also known as Pale di San Martino) is the largest massif of the Dolomites, with about 240 km² of surface, located between eastern Trentino and Veneto (province of Belluno), in the area between Primiero (valleys of Cismon, Canali, Travignolo), Valle del Biois (Falcade, Canale d'Agordo) and Agordino.
In the central sector of the group, discovered by the Marquis Déodat Gratet de Dolomieu in 1788, consisting of dolomite, a sedimentary rock formed by double calcium carbonate and magnesium, extends the plateau, on an area of about 50 km², forming a huge empty space, rocky and almost lunar that fluctuates between 2500 and 2800 m above sea level.
The part of the group extended in Trentino is entirely included in the Paneveggio — Pale di San Martino Nature Park. According to some sources, the group inspired the Belluno writer Dino Buzzati (a great lover of the chain) in the setting of his novel "The Tartar Steppe". Due to the exceptional universal value of this natural beauty, the geological system of the Pale is included in the site "The Dolomites", declared in 2009 a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Blue Wave, Blue-banded Purplewing, Tropical Blue Wave, Whitened Bluewing, or Royal Blue (Myscelia cyaniris) is a butterfly of the Nymphalidae family.
The length of the forewings reaches about 34–36 millimetres (1.3–1.4 in). The dorsal sides of the upperwings are bright blue with white transversal bands and white spots. The sapphire blue of the upper wings may appear black or neon blue depending on how the light is reflected. The under sides of the hind wings have a cryptic coloration as they are mottled with different shades of color, varying from gray to brown, while the under sides of the fore wings are black with white patches. The larvae feed on Dalechampia triphylla and Adelia triloba (Euphorbiaceae family). Adults usually feed on rotting fruit and animal dung.
It is found in Central America and northern South America, from Mexico to Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru.

One of the lakes on the Seven Lakes Drive we passed thru on our Fall foliage chase.
Seven Lakes Drive is a north–south parkway located in the Hudson Valley region of New York in the United States. It extends for just under 18 miles (29 km) on a northeast–southwest alignment from an intersection with New York State Route 17 (NY 17) in the village of Sloatsburg to a junction with U.S. Route 9W (US 9W) and US 202 south of the Bear Mountain Bridge in the town of Stony Point. Most of the highway is located in either Harriman or Bear Mountain state parks, except for a small stretch near its western end. Ownership of Seven Lakes Drive is split between three entities, two of which are also responsible for maintenance of the road.
As its name implies, Seven Lakes Drive passes by seven lakes located at various points along the road. From south to north, the lakes are Lake Sebago and Lake Kanawauke in the towns of Haverstraw and Tuxedo; Lake Skannatati and Lake Askoti in Tuxedo; Lake Tiorati in Tuxedo and Woodbury; Silver Mine Lake in Woodbury; and Queensboro Lake in Highlands.

This is an extended version of my previous released image. I had taken during the night at a later time more imagery of another part of the milky way and mosaiced them together now.
Original description:
Currently I'm enjoying my holidays in Vandans, Austria. Just before this holiday I could pick up a Nikon D810a from Nikon HQ to try it out for 3 weeks. Of course I don't say no to that. This is a brand new camera that was handpicked and calibrated manually by Nikon (a so-called QC model).
Two nights ago it was clear and I wanted to try out the camera. I doubted what to do, put it on my scope (knowing I have some trouble with the flatness of the field, and need some calibration time) or trying to do the Milky Way. Until now I never made really nice Milky Way images, so I decided to go for this challenge.
Also I took my new Skywatcher Star Adventurer, so I could work nicely stand-alone, without any further equipment. I decided to go for wide field with a Nikon 14-24mm that I got with the camera.
So I started with the polar alignment of the Star Adventurer. That goes really well, but I did find out you need to do this for every image series as it is moved very easily when changing the camera position.
After focussing I started with 60s images at ISO800 to see what the D810a showed. I was very impressed. The Milky Way just jumped into view and was very well visible. Now I have to say it's quite dark here with only some lights at the horizon.
I took about an hour of imagery, 60 images. After processing, alignment, stacking and putting back the background (that was lost by the stacking) and stretching I got the following result. I had never seen the Milky Way like this, and so I enjoyed the full night...

We extended our stay in Dublin with a tour to Northern Ireland. Three hours drive north brought us to one of the most stunning scenes I've ever witnessed. No wonder that the location-scouts for "Lord of the Rings" and "Game of Thrones" used this place as a filming location for there fairytale movies.
The 250 year old Beechtrees must have been part of a hedge and due to lack of maintenance grew like they do now.
Downside to the popularity of this place is the large amount of visitors, which makes it almost impossible to take an image without people in it. I admit that in PS I removed one couple and their photographer from this image.
This bucketlist-location was definitely worth a visit.
Enjoy!

This camera takes 8 exposures on a roll of 127 film. I used Kodacolor II colour negative film, which expired in 1978. Colour film deteriorates faster then black and white, and I feel lucky to have got any images at all out of it. With 127 film being scarce and expensive, I transferred the film into the next week's camera to finish it off. Developed in the Tetenal C41 kit.
