Four pieces by David Smith in the Royal Academy's courtyard, part of its excellent Abstract Expressionism exhibition. Slightly to my surprise, I found I really liked the Jackson Pollock paintings now.

This is my new piece, it's Public Abstract Expressionism.At 10 by 12 feet with the help of 2 assistants S.Z and W.L and 2 days of work we were able to complete this Master piece called "The evolutionary progression of humanity from nomadic times, to the farming civilization, to the industrial revolution leading into the technological age"#FreeHumanityAlternate title "Waxed out" and "The moment of pre-conceptualization in the mind of someone unaware"
