I've missed using borders so I thought i'd use one for this. I think it helps bring out the colours more.

Yet again, another old shot from Darley Park. It's not very often when Laz lets go when i'm taking photos of her, so I cherish them when she does.

An ode to freedom of expression and the place of cyclists in the city. In this participatory piece, the "AgitPOV" devices attached to the bicycles that make up the Ferris wheel transmit the words of passersby. Created during the 2012 Quebec student protests, these little boxes are tools that allow citizens to express themselves, relying on persistence of vision to broadcast political messages or poetry. Alexandre Castonguay is also responsible for the digital fresco on the Grande Bibliothèque.

It takes years to train as a Kathakali performer. You are trained in singing, dancing and instrument playing. Here, the actor is matching his eye movements to the speed of the drumming. It was beyond human strength and speed!

The performance is done using facial expressions, body language/poses and a form of sign language. No words are used except for the singing of the narrarator. In this portion of the performance, they take the time to explain some of the common gestures used in the snippet we are about to watch. Most Kathakali performances last for 9 hours.
