This set is a literal application in photography of various french proverbs and expressions.

The Christmas Fayre in Bury St Edmunds Suffolk always attracts the crowds. Its a 4 day event and is the 2nd biggest Christmas Fayre in England. It provides a real challenge to a street photographer as it is often impossible to isolate a subject but you can still highlight a face in the crowd.
David Dickinson & Mathew Jinks prepare to tackle during Morpeth's narrow victory this afternoon by 22-20 at Mitford Road. Much enjoyed being 'back home' for a change where I think I know most of the blades of grass!

Some times you can capture good expressions from the people who are watching the action.
Here is a 84 year old lady adoringly watching her husband singing.
Capturing the expressions of smokers... kind of scary how it can be addicting.

Illinois coach Kevin Hambly has a conversation with #7 Jocelynn Birks during a time out. Look at everyone's eyes, facial expressions and body language. Wish I knew what he was saying - the match went well, with Illinois winning in straight sets.
Snap taken during the Ganesha Chathurthi festival dance programme in Mangalore. Low light forced to bumb up the ISO and our poor P&S was not able to make it more grains free. :-(

Children in People's Park around Qing Ming Jie (Tomb Sweeping Festival). Every year around April 5th most of the school children in Nanning visit the Monument to the Revolutionary Martyrs in People's Park. The white paper flower is for remembering the dead. In Traditional Chinese culture white (not black) is the color for funerals.

MIME - acting out a story through body motions, without use of speech
mime artists on storyline of the presentation shows exaggerated facial expressions as they are an important channel of nonverbal communication.
the scary thing is that there is almost no expression on my sons face with this mask strapped on.
At first i had a slight worry about the flash in his eyes.
Until yesterday. I was at a wonderful theater in Amsterdam : " De la Mar"

It is really worth to have a coffee and have a look at the photos.
But the thing that cought my eye was the reflection of the light boxes in al the portrets of the actors that were on stage.
Well, maybe a little light gives just that little vibe to a portret in the end.
(and no kids were harmed in the making, my son just loves to pose for photos and is my 9 year old cooproducer ;))
