That's what Bharatanatyam is all about.

We were trying to be cool and calm before she entered the arena for her first solo performance :)

This is a photo of what is called a "glory panel". It is an antique fabric work, was hand-beaded and embroidered in India, and I discovered it in an antique mall. I keep it on top of my piano now, and it's one of my favourite things. There are many meaningful symbols in it, the crown being the most obvious. I wish I could find more of these. I think this work is so awesome! I did the best I could to capture the wonderful colours and sparkliness of it, but it's so much better in person! It's my first try at using the manual settings on the Rebel -- I still had to do some tweaking in Photoshop. ;)
Thank you so much, Flickrites, for making the time I've spent here in 2007 so enjoyable and such a rich learning experience. I appreciate all your visits and comments, invitations to groups, and your treasured faves. I hope to get to know more of you better in 2008! I certainly look forward to seeing your wonderful creations, traveling to exciting places through your photography, and sharing some of your most meaningful moments through your artistic expressions. Thanks so much for sharing yourselves and your unique visions!!!
Little X-Mas and New Year's presents from me to me, to celebrate the ending of THAT year and to enter into new one with light heart and smile on my face :) Well, isn't Special Expressions Barbie a perfect for celebration with her box slogan: "Gorgeous at night in silver and white". Add a whimsical box art photo on the back captioned "City lights... city nights!" and voila, let's celebrate ;) And the Toy Story 4 Barbie is just so darn cute - what a lovely surprise to get a current doll with my beloved Superstar sculpt! :)
Lots of people have photographed these, but this is my wee selection. I forgot I had these. These are in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. If you get a chance go and visit them. They are strangely wonderful.

I first ordered a Zeiss Batis 25mm almost a year ago and eventually I got one today and now I have no money left in my bank account.
Te weather today so I was not in the humour to travel far and ended up just walking around the Broadstone area. I decided to visit Cabra Park Lane to see if there was any new street art to be seen and unfortunately there was nothing new to be seen. However, with the exception of a mattress all of the rubbish that made the lane very unpleasant to visit has been removed. I just hope that the mattress does not act as a magnet for more illegal dumping.
