Motorwagen 0518 van de Arbeitsgemeinschaft Verkehrsfreunde Lüneburg (AVL) maakt een korte stop op het station van Hützel. De conducteur meldt de trein aan voor de volgende sectie.
Het motorrijtuig is een Großraum-Dieseltriebwagen voor Nichtbundeseigene Eisenbahnen. Tussen 1954 en 1959 leverde MaK in Kiel zeven van deze motorwagens aan de Osthannoversche Eisenbahnen (OHE). Na het staken van het reizigersverkeer werden zes motorwagens in 1977 naar de particuliere spoorweg maatschappij Azienda Consorziale Trasporti di Reggio Emilia (ACT) in Italië verkocht. Toen ze daar door de levering van nieuwe motorwagens buiten gebruik kwamen, werden de motorwagens in één koop terugverkocht naar Duitsland. Deze motorwagen 0518 werd rijvaardig hersteld en wordt door de AVL op de oorspronkelijke lijnen van de OHE ingezet.

Masquerading as 47709 “The Lord Provost” 47712 speeds past Lambrigg with the first leg of Intercity’s “Central Scotland and Fife Push-Pull”, 1Z47 0818 Crewe-Glasgow Queen St. The train was running nearly 40 minutes late following a points failure at Carnforth.

Renault Express was named as "雷諾紅龍" (Léi nuò hóng lóng, which means "Renault Red dragon") and manufactured by Sanfu Motor in Taiwan.
I looked through my slides taken 30 years ago this week on the Cape Mountaineer tour in South Africa and decided to scan this picture obtained during an outstanding session at Kraankuil. Just after dawn we witnessed a number of freight workings at speed along the Kimberley - De Aar main line. This one featured a modified class 25NC No 3454 with a dual Lempor exhaust system, the chimneys being arranged side by side rather than in line. The loco also had modified smoke deflectors with a curve at the top clearly seen in this picture. This is the last time that I saw steam hauled freight trains at express speeds. 26th July 1990.

Hello everyone, here is the iconic Planet Express ship in a UCS version. I love the animated series and also the spaceship design, so it was a pleasure for me to accept this challenge and start the project. It was difficult for the curved profile, that is not simple to create with Lego bricks.
This is a big model: the ship counts 5112 parts and the total length is almost 1 m. For this reason it needs a very strong inner structure, as you can see from one of the pics in the album. It was totally built using Lego Digital Designer. For the moment there are no minifigs, but hopefully they could be added in the future.

I’m a bit disappointed because Lego Ideas didn’t approve this ship, they say the content of the project doesn’t fit their standards and it could refer to politic, religion, drugs, smoking, violence…
I agree with them, but also I asked why Simpsons sets are OK for their standards: they refer to an animated series with an alcoholic father that strangles his son and makes fun of religion.
Well, anyway I’m proud of this project. Very special thanks to my friend Gabriele Zannotti who makes stunning renders, and to my friend Davide Ruggeri for his support so far.

The 'Scarborough Spa Express' is cautioned by the stone train in front of it. ‘Spam Can' Bulleid designed ‘Battle of Britain’ 4-6-2 no.34067 ‘Tangmere’ heads slowly past the site of the long closed site of Hunslet station with the WCRC 1Z68 07:52 Carnforth to Scarborough 'Scarborough Spa Express' tour. The tour was already running 45 minutes late due to the late start from Carnforth because of an electrical issue with the Bulleid.
R36 9586 (St. Louis Car Co., 1963-1964) is seen on the head end of a six-car train relaying through 149th St-Grand Concoruse station. The train is on it's way back to 207th St Yard after a special NY Transit Museum run for the Yankees home opener. The train was signed with the old <4> bullet, which was used until 2004, and is correct as the train did not stop at 138th St!

With lots of kids meeting with the Easter Bunny onboard, the Indiana Transportation Museum's Bunny Hop Express returns to Kokomo, Indiana on Winamac Southern Railway's former PRR Panhandle rails. A round trip from Kokomo to the tiny town of Walton, Indiana was complete with the Easter Bunny riding the rails.
Lead unit GMTX 409 operated by U.S. Rail started out life as CR 1670, built by EMD for Conrail in Dec. of 1979. I believe a horn replacement has occurred since its Conrail days.
