2021 is the European year of rail. For this reason, a special train is driving through the whole continent, advertising the railways.
The Connecting Europe Express (CEE) with its onboard exhibiton is representing the modern way of traveling with railways.

The special train - which in West Hungary was hauled by GySEV Cargo - was driving through my surroundings today.
After having a show in Sopron, the train continued its journey southwards, here next to Kópháza.
It is 10:45 a.m. in the Netherlands.
The Holiday Express arrives in Melbourne at 8:46 p.m. The last parcel is for Scout and will be delivered at 8.59 pm

Have you catch it? I was resisting the temptation to join the train this season, no pun intended :) Work hours and feeling a bit lazy lately didn’t help either. After spending 4h in the cold last night I was happy I didn’t come back home empty handed but I kept thinking why do I do this to myself! Final frame is the blend of the few different exposures for dynamic range and clean noise free image. What do you think?

Due to the increased number of passengers towards/from the Black sea coast, in the summer season BDZ adds more carriages to express train 8601/8602, especially during the weekends.
In the past years the train was hauled by the red Skoda's or the blue and yellow class 46 200, but since the arriving of the Smartrons, the train is served only by them. On the photo - the latest arrived Smartron locomotive - 80 051, named to the rullers Tsar Asen and Tsar Petar IV is pulling the 10-car train towards between Stamboliyski and Ognyanovo stations.
Forse uno dei servizi più belli e interessanti d'Europa. Così si può riassumere il Tenda Express, ovvero un treno d'agenzia che ogni anno (ad eccezione del 204 e 2015) parte da Zurigo, raggiunge la riviera Ligure di Ponente e torna in Svizzera passando per la linea del Tenda. Un'occasione ghiotta per noi appassionati che, sfruttando un agiornata meteorologicamente perfett, abbiamo "rincorso" il treno per tutta la vallata!

Stämpfli Express, the world’s largest rowing boat, made in Switzerland.. 144 feet long and seating 24. They were only 20 rowers :( for this shot. They were at Jordan Lake.

N960HL, a Cessna 208B Super Cargomaster, lifting off runway 09 at George F.L. Charles Airport (formerly Vigie Airport) at Castries, Saint Lucia. Operated for DHL Express by Air St. Kitts and Nevis (now Kingfisher Air Services), it was bound for Marigot, Dominica.
I took this shot from the open deck observation car as we made our way through the magnificent and ever changing South Island scenery. A shame about the blurred trees in the foreground, such are the hazards of photos from a moving train.
Il "Tenda Express" da Ventimiglia a Zurigo (via Breil-sur-Roya, Cuneo, Torino, Novara, Omegna), trainato dalla E656.030, è qui ripreso in transito nei pressi di Caltignaga (NO), tra le risaie allagate.
La E656.030 aveva trainato il treno da Torino Porta Nuova a Domodossola, dando il cambio alla D445.1108 a Torino Porta Nuova.

Bernina Express in the Swiss Alps.
Crossing the Alps in the Bernina Express certainly is one of the most spectacular ways to do it. Along the way, the Bernina Express rolls over the 65-metre-high Landwasser Viaduct, the signature structure of the Rhaetian Railway and the UNESCO World Heritage site.
Altogether the train passes through 55 tunnels and over 196 bridges on its way from Chur to Tirano. Travellers are treated to marvellous sights during their journey, like the Montebello curve with a view of the Bernina massif, the Morteratsch glacier, the three lakes Lej Pitschen, Lej Nair and Lago Bianco, the Alp Grüm and the Brusio Circular Viaduct.

Having Photographed the train at Didcot I chased it to Hanborough just north of Oxford. SR West Country Class 34046 'Braunton' is seen passing the station en route to Worcester with Saphos Trains Cotswold Express excursion. 12-09-20
LMS Jubilee Class 6P 45699 Galatea, running as long lost classmate 45562 Alberta, heading past Kirkham Abbey, North Yorkshire on the way back from the coast.
The Stanier designed loco was at the head of the returning Scarborough Spa Express.
This was the first week of the 2021 season's Scarborough Spa Express.
Now, of course, the loco has undergone a further change of identity.
Both of these locomotives were introduced into SAR service to work express passenger trains on the Cape mainline. Once they were replaced by larger designs in 1939 Bloemfontein became their home for the remainder of their service lives till being withdrawn in 1972/1973.
They are 16DA no 876 and 16E no 857 at Israelspoort between Thaba Nchu and Sepane heading west towards Bloemfontein on 4 July 1999.

I hope you got out today? We packed an exciting day, from dusk till down, and we hope that this will continue trough out sunrise just so we can pack another beautiful morning in to this snowfall. As you might noticed I decided to work a bit on my winter series :) What do you think?
Morant's Curve with a train passing through during a 10 stop exposure during the day. A winter visit to this spot is on the cards some day I hope!
The Impf-Express ("Vaccination Express") circulating as a regular Strassenbahn line in front of the Südbahnhof while I was waiting for my bus to the office. I loved the driver's smile, too bad the windshield's glare hides it.
The idea of the Impf Express is that you can hop in, get your corona shot and get of a couple of stations later. I find the idea of wanting to get an injection in a moving vehicle rattling along the tracks kind of odd. Maybe their doctors are that good. Or they just wait for the stops.
