The Impf-Express ("Vaccination Express") circulating as a regular Strassenbahn line in front of the Südbahnhof while I was waiting for my bus to the office. I loved the driver's smile, too bad the windshield's glare hides it.

The idea of the Impf Express is that you can hop in, get your corona shot and get of a couple of stations later. I find the idea of wanting to get an injection in a moving vehicle rattling along the tracks kind of odd. Maybe their doctors are that good. Or they just wait for the stops.

Line 142 only sees standard commuter trains, there is absolutely no express or IC traffic.

Yet, on this very windy Tuesday, when a third M41 loco was thrown into the mix, with no spare Bhv carriages @Nyugati, they connected 4 Bd (express, cab) cars to it, to form this rather unusual consist, probably never seen before on the line.

HWH based WAP-4 loco - 22407 showed up with New Delhi (NDLS) bound 12303 (HWH-NDLS) Poorva Express at its tow !!

A bit of fun!

While walking the Reifel Bird Sanctuary looking for birds and looked West toward Vancouver Island and saw the Mid-Island Express Ferry that runs between Tswwassen and Duke Point on Vancouver Island passing by. A relatively warm day, the heat waves distorted the ferry. I ran with it and adjusted it for Slider Sunday.

At 3:09 p.m., August 12, 2025, CPKC train 180, the Midwest Mexico Express, zips by the SSS at El Toro, Texas. The train is made up of intermodal and mixed freight. The 180 is powered by two units configured 1-1-0. The flat Coastal Plain of Texas is easy on power.
