UK Export Finance (UKEF) is a UK government department that provides financial assistance to UK businesses when they are selling their goods or services to customers overseas. UKEF provides guarantees loans and insurance for buyers and suppliers helping them to manage the financial risk of selling abroad. It also helps cover the costs of credit insurance and bonds. UKEF works in partnership with commercial banks as well as with UK Export Credit Agencies to provide a range of tailor-made products that are well suited to the specific needs of exporters. UKEF provides advice to exporters on credit risk and trade finance helping them to develop their export business. In addition UKEF also works to support developing markets which contains not only exporters but also the UK economy as a whole.
