UK Export Finance (UKEF) is a UK government department that provides financial assistance to UK businesses when they are selling their goods or services to customers overseas. UKEF provides guarantees loans and insurance for buyers and suppliers helping them to manage the financial risk of selling abroad. It also helps cover the costs of credit insurance and bonds. UKEF works in partnership with commercial banks as well as with UK Export Credit Agencies to provide a range of tailor-made products that are well suited to the specific needs of exporters. UKEF provides advice to exporters on credit risk and trade finance helping them to develop their export business. In addition UKEF also works to support developing markets which contains not only exporters but also the UK economy as a whole.

Soon, the heavily guarded secret of Christmas will be revealed. The real Santa Claus is someone you need to believe in. He knows that you have been bad. Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale is based on ideas from earlier short movies by Jalmari Helander that have acquired a cult status on the Internet. Helander has further developed the mythology of the Finnish Santa Claus, and created a furious action thriller about this usually jolly character with elements of fantasy, horror and adventure. Norwegian actor Per Christian Ellefsen plays one of the main characters, and will be present at the first screening.
DIRECTOR
The Finnish filmmaker Jalmari Helander (b. 1976) has enjoyed a successful career as an award-winning director of television commercials. He has also made several popular short films available on the Internet. Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale is his first feature film.
