Explosions on the day you wake up
Needing somebody and you've learned
It's okay to be afraid
But it will never be the same
It will never be the same
My first expirence using an ND filter. Many thanks to Cory Disbrow and team for all of the info on their site www.disneyphotographyblog.com/. As well as www.howtophotographfireworks.com/. They were a crucial source of info when it came to planning my recent trip to Disney. Chalk full of useful info.
The above is just an example of some of the best fireworks pictures I have ever taken.
As always thanks for looking.
Mike
I did dramatize the picture but not as much as you may think, the best sky I've ever seen! Taken with an iPhone as, that's all I had with me at the time.
Picture of some of the devastation associated with the explosions at Tianjin, China, taken the following day.
All material consignments to the shaft ceased in 1977 following an explosion in the head-space above he shaft waste column.
Bjork once performed here on a raft. About 3000 years old it was thought that this was formed by a huge volcanic explosion, as is the accepted norm with volcanic craters. However scientists could not find any evidence of an explosion, so it is now believed that it was a cone volcano that emptied it's magma reserve and then collapsed in on itself. The water colour is from minerals in the soil and is not from rainfall direct into the crater as it is at the same level as the surrounding water table.

My flash accidentally went off and when it hit the fingerprints on the glass it created this "explosion" of light.

Very little compares to Mother Nature doin' her thing at the ocean entry of the 61G flow on the Big Island of Hawaii. Still going as strong as ever, we were lucky enough to have some explosions too!
Update: The Kamokuna lava bench you see here collapsed into the ocean over New Year (a 25 acre area!) taking with it the spot from where this photo was taken. And apparently the flow from the lava tube feeding it now has a significantly diminished flow! Sigh...
If it were a perfect world, I would gladly leave my normally unobtrusive watermark off in a corner. But sadly, it is not. And so I am forced to now place it front & center to discourage dishonest people from image theft and cropping watermarks. My apologies to image loving fans everywhere...I trust you will understand. Help fight this by reporting such abuses immediately!
wow!!

Personnel assigned to Naval Station Pearl Harbor review a map of the affected area during a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive exercise on historic Ford Island. The event was held to train and assess Naval Security Forces, Federal Fire Department, Emergency Operations Center, and the 93rd Civil Support Team for preparation in case of an emergency.
I just heard from my office because they were working on the story about a 17year old girl that died in an explosion in Rosario, Cavite in the Philippines. Only to findout it was a someone I know closely. Jhena was neighbors with my best friend Rowel Carreon until her parents moved her to the Philippines several years ago for a better education, better life. I only pray that Jhena did not suffer much and prayers to the Bernie, Tess and the rest of the Calalo family.
Bernie and Tess own the Nayon Turo Turo at Hafa Adai Exchange. Jhena was the youngest of five siblings.
