Field of orange tulips near Biddinghuizen in the area of Flevoland (The Netherlands). it's like a celebration of Spring. Amazing colors of nature. I took this picture deliberately in this way to get this depth of field.
Please enlarge this picture to see all details. Thank you alll for viewing the picture.

*Probably one of my best shots in 2016. The colors, DOF and contrast between the sky and flowers are outstanding in my opinion. This picture is also the celebration of the Spring season with these beautiful orange colors of nature.
Great sunset reflecting in the lake.
Love this lens. It has the trioplan bokeh at a fraction of the price

I find that the cheapest rice is the best. I have tried all sorts of fancy smancy rice and the Piggly Wiggly brand is the best. You must follow the directions on the bag and you will have perfect rice. I used some left over rib fat grease and added it to the water when I boiled this rice. You can use chicken broth, tomato sauce or any sort of broth to cook the rice

Earlier this week, the central California coast was blessed with its first real sunset since the summer marine layer began way back in May. That light caused a furor around the Bay Area, with lots of photogs hoping that the winter sunset season had begun.
So it came as no surprise when this past week I received a flurry of text messages asking how the evening clouds looked here at the coast in Santa Cruz. But sadly, the entire week was crystal-clear and cloudless. Until Friday night that is. A few clouds started to build, but nothing to get too exited about. Nevertheless, I knew there were some keen shooters out there, so I got in touch with Jave and David, and talked about the clouds a bit.
Both guys decided to roll on out to the coast to shoot Natural Bridges even if it meant shooting in less than spectacular conditions. As we got to the beach however, it became apparent that the sky was going to BLOW UP (to use the appropriately Jave vernacular). When the color did arrive, it was so full and beautiful that it caused us to lose all rationality and run around like chickens, scratching in the sand and shooting shooting shooting.
Afterward we kept talking about how it was the best light we've ever seen at NB (either in person or in photos). Simply amazing.

12 mm
Lee 3-stop soft GND Filter, handheld at a slight angle to darken the hot horizon on the right
Post-Processing
----------------------
In Raw Converter:
- Dropped my exposure by about 0.4 stops to make the colors richer
- Global contrast for added pop
- Local contrast adjustments to water streaks to add definition
In Photoshop:
- Noise reduction via Neat Image
- Selective Sharpening of arch
- Slight brightness and contrast boost to foreground
- Slight brightness and contrast boost to bridge to enhance the light there
- Luminosity mask on bright brights with darkening curves layers to improve color near the horizon on the right hand side

Art Quote of the Day
Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter.
Oscar Wilde mentioned and I nodded:)

I never tire of this landscape. Taken on the way down from the mountain, showing a fairly rural area with a few quiet houses. Not too far from a city, however!
Taken while in a moving car, so excuse any slight blurs ☺
Macro Mondays Theme:Textures
I would have loved to join in the Flickr Photowalk in London but already had a very busy weekend planned and just couldn't fit it in! I did my own this morning around Caversham (Reading) and found this very rotten door with peeling paint.
HMM to everyone and thanks for all your views, comments and favourites.
I did change my choice about 10 minutes after posting to the group... I hope I don't get in trouble with admin!!!

Macro Mondays Theme: Heart ❤️
Made this heart with ribbon I used round the christmas cake last year. It had wire at the edges to bend into shape. Surrounded it with heart confetti.
Really appreciate all your comments and favourites as always. HMM to one and all! It's half term this week so won't have as much time to comment as normal, but will try my best!! Have a great week everyone.

This little 5 day old sweetness is 4.5kg natural birth! Her mom is a friend of mine - she is a professional dancer - very slim and beautiful!
Had a party at home and mom had taken these out and arranged them like that...
I was wondering how it would look through the f/1.4.
I tried many angles at it. Kinda like how this one came out. Processed it to be me. And here its for you.
Hope you like this. :)

EXPLORED! Thanks to all your love, again.... :) I can't imagine flickr without your encouragement and support.
The Highlands of Iceland cover most of the interior of Iceland. They are situated above 400–500 metres and are mostly an uninhabitable volcanic desert, because the water precipitating as rain or snow infiltrates so quickly into the ground that it is unavailable for plant growth. This results largely in a surface of grey, black or brown earth, lava and volcanic ashes

Last year we celebrated birthday of my mom with a dinner in the historical Sargans Castle, located at the foothills of the Swiss Alps. We had the 500 year old castle all to ourselves for the evening. We explored the 500 year old castle before dinner - this is the entrance hall.
I processed a balanced, a paintery, and a photographic HDR photo from two RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
