We had lots of fun on the South Gare at Redcar in a January storm, even though we left before high tide. My wife wanted to be back in Sandsend [near Whitby] by three o'clock to capture the waves there. My New Years resolution was to inject more dynamism into my images - trying to capture movement. The title, I did a little clumsy dodging and burning to bring out the wave textures. . It's always a lovely surprise to feature in Explore - thank you all for your visits, kind comments and favourites, all are very much appreciated!
Barred Owl. My last post before my pro account expires and I will not renew due to the lack of tech support from Flickr.
Foto scattata qualche anno fa, da cieli bui, per immortalare l'eleganza delle stelle della cintura di Orione, le sue nebulose e Rigel.

Hello my friends. I am sorry I have been absent for so long. Several health issues. Some of you have sent me messages asking about me and it warms my heart to know I am missed. Maybe each week I can post and comment some. I have missed all of you and your photography.

Early morning at 4:50am, arrived at Moraine Lake, planned to take sunrise photo at Moraine Lake, then hike to the Larch Valley. It was the best time watching the yellow Larch Valley on the end of September. Unfortunately, parking lot was full, drove three rounds around the parking lot, no lucky at all. It was weekend, local people, people from Calgary, tourists … wanted to hike to Larch Valley. Moraine Lake was the starting point for hiking. Lots of people arrived the day before, slept inside the car. Had to change the whole day’s plan – headed to Bow Lake - One of my favorite lakes at Rocky Mountains, visited at least 7 times at different weather conditions during this trip...
Few people around in the early morning, spending some time walking around the lake. The light changing from blue hour to golden hour, the water changing from breeze ripples to calm, ripples again, waited for calm… the scenery of Canadian Rockies was out of this world. Here was the capture of the sunrise light up Crowfoot Mountain from the shore with small sand band extending in the middle of reflection.

I tried, while not using Bev's tripod, to control the bright sunlight with a flower. It's always a surprise and a real thrill to find one of your images in Explore - thank you for your visits, favourites and comments, all are most appreciated!
Worked from a photo taken at Armleder Park, Hamilton County, Ohio. Autumn 2021.

This shot was taken back in July for submission to the TD Bank employee photo contest for their annual "Friends of the Environment Foundation (FEF)" calendar. The theme for this year was Shades of Green and my photo was fortunate to be chosen amongst some great photos to be included in the Wall calendar version (there is also a desk calendar) for 2017.
FEF is a charitable foundation that funds and supports environmental initiatives nationally across Canada and in it's 25 years has funded more than 24,000 environmental projects. To learn more the link is:
If you live in Canada you can visit any TD Canada Trust branch and pick up a calendar!!

"Was zur Hölle....!?" dachte ich, als ich den alten TV-Rahmen während eines Fotoshootings der etwas anderen Art erblickte. Meine Ideen explodierten und selbst die kleinsten Synapsen in den letzten Ecken meines Kopfes tanzten vor Freude. :D

"What the hell....!?" I thought when I spotted the old TV frame during a photo shoot of a different kind. My ideas exploded and even the smallest synapses in the far corners of my head danced with joy. :D
