This vixen was particularly skittish which is unusual for the foxes at this particular park as they are usually very approachable. However after reviewing the images from this shoot it dawned on me that she is a little thick around the middle as compared to the images of the other foxes from that day. I strongly suspect that she is carrying a litter of kits and that would explain her unusual wariness.

I've never really understand this Explore thing, some images get in that you don't think are that great, whilst others you think will don't get picked up.

With over 42,000 pics now and just 48 chosen (getting on for one in a thousand) I'm thinking my photostream is more about quantity than quality! ;-)

I took a similar view recently, but it included the Knightsbridge Barracks, which was not greatly to my liking. I had a go at a view from a slightly different location, which cut out the barracks and lost an attractive framing as well! However, I thought it was quite nice especially the way the Sun was illuminating the palace facade. Incidentally, Her Maj was in residence this morning, as can be seen from the fact that the Royal Standard is flying rather than the Union Jack. She is unlikely to have been looking out however, as her quarters are on the North Side of the Palace.

UPDATE

This is the 100th image from yours truly that somehow found its way into the pages of EXPLORE. And while it may not be that big of a deal to a lot of people, I am always tickled when one of my little phone pics makes it into EXPLORE. As always, my thanks to all of you for making this happen. :-)
