Mummer's Parade 2019
Reviving an old Newfoundland tradition known as mummering and/or jannying that dates back to the early 1800's. During the Christmas season small groups of people would disguise themselves and go door to door in the community singing, dancing, and drinking. Those days have all but dissapeared but some mummering still occurs in the smaller outport communities. This was the anuual parade held in St. John's, NL.
