It is silly how sometimes life just seems to "get away from us". But that's what happens. I have been away for a while as I have been somehow engulfed in things that really do not matter.
On this brief 3 day adventure I reconnected with dear friends, and family members that mean so much to me. I'll call it my mini mindfulness tour. I could feel the positive energy well up inside me as I sat with my uncle who would take me flying and fishing as a child. Those special memories last a lifetime. It was also a great reminder of what is really important.
This is one of several photos I took earlier this week while travelling up the northern peninsula of Newfoundland to reconnect. I had forgotten how beautiful and peaceful the world can really be.

A walk through the trails in autumn refreshes and re-energizes the spirit. Now we have to wait another full year for the same experience.

while I didn't withstand the freezing temperature for long, I did a quick walk around the lighthouse and managed to snap a few shots! It was SO COLD... -22 and with the wind it made it feel 100 times worse!

I was lucky to see this iceberg near St. John's, Newfoundland, so late in the season. It's certainly not the world's biggest iceberg, but it's the first iceberg I've ever seen or photographed, so I'd call that a win.

No matter the weather, St. John's is charming and amazing. The most mysterious city, I have ever visited. The most friendly, tranquil and happy, no matter the weather. St. John's, the God loves your cotton socks. We do not say goodbye..

I haven't posted here in a while. Life has kinda gotten away from me the past 2 years. As I find a little space again and my weekends become less cluttered, I also find my desire to seek new camera adventures once again. Time is the most valuable thing we have sometimes the most difficult thing to wrestle.
Safe travels and best wishes to all my Flickr friends.
