Students participated in the STEM challenge to build and test their bridges as a team.

Tiffany loves going outside. She actually waits by the door in the evenings next to her harness and leash hoping someone will take her for a walk.

...Actually,I should not even think to do this, hope this isn´t considered self-abuse,but as long I keep my hands away my nether regions,I´ll be safe...

I forgot how much I like to make these. (hand dyed fabric, rubber stamps, eyelash ribbon and some funky yarn, bleached fabric (I bleached the background fabric using poker chips and clamps), lots of hand stitching.

I totally forgot to upload these!

Destinations for February were:

Temporia Prime maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fantasyland%20I/220/26/272

Dystopia maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Excalibur%20Serendipity/17...

Forbidden City maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Motherland/95/120/3024

(Please note, the last destination is an active combat sim. Folks may pewpew at ya, so bring the heavy artillery and join the fun if you feel so inclined!)

I've always been incredibly interested in ancient jewelry. Ethiopian, Egyptian, European, anything tribal... I've always loved hollow forms, big bulky rings, deep patterned stones, hand drawn imagery. Ridiculous statement pieces. Something made for a king or a pharaoh. I've spent the past few days exploring shapes, exploring old, traditional techniques, stepping in new uncharted waters... and it's filling my heart up so damn much. So here's a ring, completely ridiculous. Huge. Built for a woman who knows who she is. A total badass. Something I just had to test out. Not something for everyone, but something I needed.

This scene from NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity shows "Lunokhod 2 Crater," which lies south of "Solander Point" on the west rim of Endeavour Crater. Lunokhod 2 Crater is approximately 20 feet (6 meters) in diameter.

The view was obtained during Opportunity's 3,644th Martian day (sol) of exploration (April 24, 2014). Part of the rover is visible at bottom, including its rear solar arrays and its panoramic camera, or Pancam, calibration target.

The view merges exposures taken through three of the Pancam's color filters, centered on wavelengths of 601 nanometers (orange), 535 nanometers (green) and 482 nanometers (blue).

During the Jazz Age:

Alexandrina sometimes thought of herself as an explorer. Her family's flight from Russia shortly before the Revolution had made the teenaged Alexandrina need to explore and become settled in a world with which she was unfamiliar; and her ballet career had to be restarted in England. Still, Alexandrina was blessed: her talent was phenomenal; and her strength of spirit was beyond compare.

"Yes," thought Alexandrina, "I am an explorer; perhaps it was my fate to explore the unknown to open new worlds for myself and, through my dancing and choreography, for others..."

Dillard's was the first to pull out in 2007.

Clover: "I should have known this wouldn't work!"

Eden: "Well don't make her feel bad, it's not her fault she's so cute!"

Clover: "I know, but I thought she could at least PRETEND to be vicious!!"

*Clovers plan for a scary animal attack on their 'exploration' hike was thwarted by Sparrows sweet face! ;-)
