Fuji Tiara- Fuji Neopan1600 SuperPresto

I was bored and I was right in front of this just kind of staring at it as I waited for a cast members' okay to continue walking to the ride. I had my camera in hand, so I figured, why not? And it is different, and interesting, so I decided to keep it!

Mr. Horniman visited Egypt in 1896 to see the Egypt Exploration Fund that Howard Carter worked for. Mr. Horniman was shown around the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir-el-Bahri. Impressed by the Fund’s work, he made a donation, and was gifted this coffin.

The wooden inner lid features Egyptian icons such as the central winged scarab beetle and eye of Horus, which protect the deceased. The winged goddess below is possibly Isis. The two figures lower down are Osiris, right and Horus, left. The two kneeling women below are possibly Isis and Nephthys. Nephthys was sister to Isis and Osiris, and protected the soul. Often shown together, Egyptologists suggest that Nephthys was a mirror image of Isis; dark versus light.

Animals were important to Ancient Egyptians as they were connected to the gods, for example Horus is shown with a hawk’s head. Can you find more animals on the coffin?

New Line Up!

Some good friends of mine, awesome personalities, total passionate about their music, and just enjoy having fun. The Great Exploration includes some of my best friends, and it's always a pleasure to work with them.

They are working with a good friend of mine ScottyFez on recording a couple songs... I am sure I will post something on here when they've got it done. They are generally a new band, and it's really been fun to see them get some attention.

Lighting Details: Two strobes (SB-800, SB-28) back behind them (one with a blue gel), and a strobe in front of them behind a white shoot through umbrella (SB-800). May have been an overkill on light, but who cares!
