I shot this thunderstorm as the sun was setting. The tops starting glowing giving the impression of a massive explosion.

A gorgeous , really rapid fire Aurora a couple nights back.

Early in the evening the lights were pretty impressive ... Tired of the boring foreground around my cabin here, I drove down to the partly ice free Yukon River near the Marsh Lake bridge ... but , of course, at that time the lights became quiet .... Later, the lights really went wild, but by this time, I had no more gas ..

Interesting cloud formations appeared yesterday. They were somehow fat and it looked like they would explode anytime.

Homemade fireworks without the danger!

A neatO exposure 'trick' for you to try (if you haven't already)

- Bulb mode @6 seconds (or so)

- Zoom in to set exposure point

- During exposure, zoom out quickly

- Rinse

- Repeat until desired effect is reached

Merry Christmas!
