Max is explaining how we'll be able to tell when a tsunami is coming- we'll be able to see all the waves get sucked really far back into the sea and then a huge wave will....

...excuse me, I'm getting a little dizzy at the thought. Tsunamis are one of the most consistent features of my nightmares.

We also stopped at Newspaper Rock, which has all sorts of prehistoric drawings carefully guarded by a chain-link fence, as well as graffiti from the early 1900s which is apparently now considered part of the archaeological record. I'm hoping this fence and the tourist signs get preserved for the future to excavate, as well...

other people explain to us that the park serves as a channel to introduce drugs into the United States, we frankly have no proof of this, certainly the level of control and the filth of the park close to the wall from one year to the next are completely different, it means that compared to a strong border control of a year ago today it appears absent (completely absent) and the filth such as rags and other things abandoned near the wall is important today, therefore the change for the worse that occurred in the Biden administration in the comparisons of the park is notable in addition to the laxity of Rangers on duty in this area not seen just 1 year ago.

It literally turned up on my doorstep

Crusader Church, Caesarea Harbor, Caesarea National Park, archaeological site of the ancient city of Caesarea Maritima, Caesarea, Israel

"Crusader Church (13th Century)

The building of this Crusader church was undertaken by King Louis IX of France, but was never completed (the northern wall apparently collapsed during the building process. The columns belong to a later stage of building. Some time later, a smaller church was built in its place. The Cathedral of St. Peter formerly the city's Great Mosque, stood northeast of it; and was destroyed by Saladin in 1187. Throughout the ages, the city's religious buildings occupied the same area, which points to the continued existence of cultic places, despite cultural and religious places."
