This image is part of a new series of digital images I'm very excited about that use predominantly creative-commons photos as springboards for experimentation with color and technique in order to evoke a variety of physical, mental and emotional responses in viewers.

Utopia is an Aboriginal homeland some 250 kilometres northeast of Alice Springs. It consists of a dozen or more remote outstations spread over 5,000 square kilometres of land in Australia’s central desert. Especially in the early days of the art movement which developed there, its themes were derived from the body painting designs used by women in their ceremonial dances.

In it’s connection to ceremony, the art of Utopia was following the lead of the Western Desert artists such as Michael Nelson Tjakamarra whose work is represented in my previous image. However, the iconography employed at Utopia was different. Instead of the stylised symbolism of Western Desert dot painting, the Utopia artists drew on imagery based on the organic shapes and forms of local plant species. Beginning in the late 1970’s these designs were used in the making of batik. Later, with the move to painting on canvas and other surfaces, the work often became more abstract and experimental.

In 1990 a group of women began a series of paintings on doors and other panels salvaged from abandoned cars. These works tended to dispense with traditional iconography and depict local landscapes and flora in a manner that reflected the conventions of Western Art.

♥ So I am having another Experimental Art Playday Marathon.....Very fun day..using all sorts of different medias....♥

This one was done with several kinds of Inks including Acrylics, Elegant Writer Pen, and Brusho.

The reason my title is for women and children is because it is not as common for women to wish to fight with weapons of destruction and they are on the whole more sensitive to the welfare of their children. War only brings on violence, unhappiness, separation, insanity and pure hell! By NO MEANS are all men attracted to war, many are against it and have been and are being imprisoned for not fighting.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a beautiful day and spread love and kindness! ❤️❤️❤️

She rose into the darkness

as if the night itself,

had asked her to bloom.

Neon rivers ran across her skin,

each one a thought she never said out loud,

each one a heartbeat refusing to stay quiet.

Motion turned her into a spectrum!

a living blur of rebellion and light!

where silence melted,

And colour finally learned how to dance

Have you ever danced like this?

Still more fun with Fractalius.

A surreal close-up of synthetic beauty fused with aging technology. "Electronic Lips" reflects a human lost to artificiality—merged with machines, yet clinging to obsolete remnants of progress.
