Das ist eine Bildmontage. Ich habe beide Aufnahmen heute Nachmittag mit einem 500mm Spiegeltele gemacht.

This is a montage of two photos. I've taken both pictures with a 500mm mirror lens this afternoon.

a bit of pracrtice with HDR,

different layers, different layerstyles, a bit of erasing. original to be found in the stream to (trees, trees trees).

Experimenting.

Experimenting with a bright flashlight to do light painting this morning using the new Canon 6D, before sunrise, at home, at the Golden Gate, and the Palace of Fine Arts, San Francisco, USA. I'm not impressed, could've taken these easily with a cheaper camera. Swans got lit by the flashlight here.

This was shot using a Hot Mirror filter over my Canon Rebel T5 converted to 590 nm. The hot mirror blocks uv and IR light and passes visible light. Theoretically with this combination only light in the wave lengths from 590 nm to about 720 nm reached the sensor. This is mostly visible red light and some visible yellow light. To preserve the color balance, the RAW image was converted to TIF using Canon Digital Photo Professional. The files convert nicely to black and white with good contrast and giving a dark sky tone. This is how the image appeared on the camera’s lcd screen.

The Mediocre - Polaroid SLR680 with Impossible PX680 V4C test film. L/D wheel = a little towards the dark.

I used a tripod for both these shots. The one one the left is actually a reflection (yes that's me in the foreground). I found the reflection as interesting as the carousel itself though I'm not convinced I really thought out this shot. Had to manually focus (not my strong point) because of the sonar vs glass thing.

The shot on the right was taken while the carousel was moving (even I don't shake that much!). This hasn't really worked as I saw it in my head but that's my fault not the films. It really needed a longer exposure.

Et voici une petite expérimentation issue des drôles de bibelots trônant chez le Lutin d'Ecouves, que vous retrouverez lui aussi sur Flickr !

Parce que "pourquoi pas ?"...

Simple experiments while I'm inbetween projects!

Disappointingly, perhaps, this image is of a flintstone suspended on or better in a white foil of plastic. I added the colour in PP and turned the photo upside down. Would have been nice to see the Martian mountains myself.

I have been experimenting with processing after receiving some very useful tips from flickr.com/photos/jeremycowart/ . What is new here is that the sky has remarkably little noise. And yet it is extremely dark which normally would give excessive noise. The image was take during the flickr photo outing with with flickr.com/photos/hkvam and flickr.com/photos/arntr . The rock is called karl (a man).

My first attempt at motion blur.

For those new to motion blur, notice how everything except the main object in the pic(the small car) is blurred. This effect is acheived by keeping the exposure long and aiming and moving the camera along with the moving object.

Shot on the way back from Khandala to Mumbai.

A beautiful day, it had just stopped raining. The plants and the trees were all a fresh green. The lovely view of clouds drifting over the hills (ghaats) made us stop and I saw an opportunity to experiment with motion blur.

This is a hand held shot, no tripod :)
