The European Experience 2016 Exceeds Expectations
What a weekend! We went into the weekend not knowing what to expect being a first year event, but left excited and ready for next year. Matthew Bounds and his crew at Sowo Partners moved the popular Southern Worthersee event from Helen, GA to a new event called “The European Experience” in Savannah Georgia, and it went off without a hitch. The two-day event was a welcomed refresh filled with friendly faces in an exciting new location with an excellent post-event night life in downtown Savannah.
We offered APR ECU and TCU upgrades at the event, as we do at nearly all events we attend, and we nearly doubled our flash count from years past at SOWO. We want to thank every customer who partook in the sale, and want to thank all those who stopped by to talk shop and shoot the breeze. Last but not least, we want to thank Matt Bounds and the SOWO Partners crew for putting on an amazing show we’re excited to attend next year.
Take a moment to view a few photos we grabbed at the event, and see you next year!

Well I don’t know about everybody else, but there are always ideas that don’t make the cut, and then for the ideas that do make the cut, in particular the dynamic shots are seldom captured in the first take, and then like when women shopping the take away ends up being the first shot (read shop for the women shopping thing if you are still with me).
Anyway check out the comments for a sample of shots from recent weeks.

Tom we're putting Bou to sleep. The bone has not bugged one inch and there are no options. The vet said we could think about an endoscopy but I have no doubt in my mind, that's it time and I will not have another medical procedure done on my Bou.
He has been so unhappy lately, and the last three days unable to stand up on his own. And obviously this has distressed him no end. He sits on his bed and just stares into space, he's fidgety, he hasn't been excited or happy in over a month. Also 2 months ago, he started having bowel problems and controlling it. I was willing to fight till the end,,, and now it definitely is the end.
Today he didn't even want to eat. There is no point waiting,,, Bou is so, so unhappy.
I had a bad experience with my vet though. When I called and said I wanted to put Bou down, he was like WHAT? WHY?
And then when I told him a few of the reasons, he said to talk to him tomorrow. I told my mom that I couldn't go through another conversation about my reasons so she called him and then he completely changed his story saying, "Oh I told her a month ago to maybe consider putting Bou done (he did no such thing) and also I can't put a dog down in front of 20 other patients, there are legal issues, so you'll have to come in last, which is why I wanted you to speak to me tomorrow"
I have no idea what legal issues he's talking about. I always found him weird but his medical advice was always sound so I continued.
My mom is horrified at his behaviour, I'm just,, well in denial. I can't even look at Bou at this point.
Not sure if I can deal with flickr tomorrow, so...
Thank you for your emails. Kelly, I know you so wanted Bou to get better... I did too...
These two girls thought they'd have a go at holding the wild, diseased pigeons in Bath. I don't think they were expecting them to be put on their heads though.
Had a lot of trouble with the guy in the red jacket, the red over-powered the image massively, and desaturating the reds made people's faces look washed out, so I had to use the adjustment brush to tone it down a little.
