In Venice, you'll see plenty of beautifully attired constables, from one of , oh, three or more different police forces that have jurisdiction in Venice. They're friendly and helpful, but seem powerless to do anything about the Vu Cumpra. I'm only making fun because I heard it all from Venetians first.
Part of an occasional series about what to expect when you visit Venice.
a lost girl, an empty boat and a homeless dog. all met up in the beach side that afternoon. Seems no related at all, but all expecting someone or something. we always do.
I found the rest of the Pocky stash at Korean Korner, however I forgot to get the kind I got last time, so before the orgy shot I need to go back and get that. But until then it will be individual shots like the original.
Was easier than I expected. I just carefully slotted it in. I thought I had to unscrew the case!

Not too long ago, when cleaning out some boxes, I came upon an undeveloped disposable camera. The disposable camera was given to me by my mother so I could take some pictures while on a grade 5 class trip to the Parliament Buildings in Victoria, BC. Since the film in the camera had long been expired, (probably 1998 or 1999) the pictures have this wonderful dreamlike colour shift to them. The photos also have an interesting point of view, haphazard and accidentally framed, which can only be expected as they were shot by a ten year old.
There is so much love for Kelley and Marvin's first baby. Excited to share more from their beautiful session.
This is a photograph from the East of Ireland Marathon Series Marathon held at Stapelstown, Donadea, Naas, Co. Kildare, Ireland at 09:00 on Saturday 21st of September 2013. This is the first East of Ireland Marathon Series race outside of Dublin and also the first to have been run on rural roads and is race 5 of the East of Ireland Marathon Series 2013.
There was beautiful but warm weather in Stapelstown for the marathon which made conditions tougher than expected. The course brought runners on a loop from the village over towards Prosperous, Co. Kildare, and then back to the finish/refreshment area. The event was very well organised and whilst these races operate with a degree of self sufficiency for runners there was adequate marshalling, course marking, and refreshments available. Well done to all.
The East Of Ireland Marathon Series aims to make marathons affordable and convienient for the runners of Ireland. The serires organisers aim to promote marathon running and to make the process as stress free and enjoyable as possible. All courses are measured to full AAI standards and have a minimum of 10 Entrants. The marathons are self sufficent to a degree although there are limited supplies of water available on the day of the race. There will be no extra frills like chip timing and finish gantrys. However all finishing times are accurately and officially recorded. This is to keep the price down and keep the races as affordable as possible. The East of Ireland Marathon series is all inclusive and welcomes runners who are new to marathon running as well as experienced veterans.

Overall Race Summary
Participants: The East of Ireland marathon series stricly limits the number of participants. There were about 50 participants in the race today.
Weather: There was warm sunny weather for the race with competitors finding the humid conditions very tough as the race progress on around mid day. There was no real wind but a breeze which did help keep runners cool.
Course: The race started at St. Kevin's GAA and proceeded west into Stapelstown Village and reached a turnaround point which brought runners back to the starting point. This meant that runners then had to complete four complete loops of the 6.09 mile loop outlined below. This loop then proceeded directly southwards towards Prosperous but makes a sharp right turn before Properous village. This brings runners onto the Ballynafagh road and northwards back towards Stapelstown village. Runners then run down through the village (passing the finish and refreshment area) to complete the loop. The course is on traffic open country roads.

Our only "cost" is our request that if you are using these images without the watermark: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.
I want to tell people about these great photographs!

Didn't expect to see this magnificent Western when I turned up at Plymouth station but which Western was it? I thought it was Western Renown as that's what it said on the name plate but on the other side it said Western Champion. Anyone able to enlighten me on this one?
Explosion was a tad larger than I thought it would be, but I still like the shot. Matawan did a great job.

I was seriously not expecting to like this mashup of "Call Me Maybe" and "Head Like A Hole" as much as I do, but holy cow, this really is great. Nine Inch Nails is some of my favorite music ever, and I also enjoy a good pop hook. This combines them both in a crazy, mind-expanding… and extremely catchy way. I was inspired to create this visual mashup to get in on the fun. Original images by Lunchbox LP & ClintJCL. More on this at my blog: rsmithing.com.

"Here lyes (expecting the second coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ), the dead body of Francis Lord Clifford, first child of George Clifford third Earle of Cumberland by his blessed wife Margaret Russell Countess of Cumberland: which Francis Lord Clifford died (where he was borne) in Skipton Castle, about eleaventh of December in 1589, being of age of 5 years and 8 months" Tomb of Francis Lord Cumberland, 1 of 2 older brothers who died young of Lady Anne Clifford, children of George Clifford, 3rd Earl of Cumberland www.flickr.com/photos/52219527@N00/4144089773/ and Margaret daughter of Francis Russell, 2nd Earl of Bedford www.flickr.com/photos/52219527@N00/3027495196/
George willed his estates to his brother Francis 4th Earl of Cumberland instead of his only daughter and heir Anne believing a man would rescue his estates from the debts he had encumbered. Anne was bequeathed £15000 as a dowry. Margaret immediatly contested the will on behalf of Anne. Anne's husband Richard Sackville 3rd Earl of Dorset supported her hoping for the money it would gain him against his living standards at first but when negotiations broke down in 1615 the Lord Chief Justice proposed a compromise where Anne would receive cash and Francis would keep the lands. this suited Richard but Anne would never agree which strained the marriage. Anne had to wait 40 years to come into her inheritance after Francis's son died without issue.
I expected Patches to kid last Friday, so I wasn’t too far off when she spit out the kid last night. When I checked on them this morning she was dirty and damp but up and active. I wiped her off and weighed her at 10# 4oz. Nice and big with good Boer coloring. I dried her some more with a hair drier and put her back out with the Mother who was wondering where she went. She proceeded to keep everything else away from it but the donkey, which tried to keep her away from her kid, until called off. Her kid is every bit as big as Dots two three week old kids, and maybe filled out better. I would much rather have a young Mother have one kid and raise it up good than have two and not have enough milk to keep them fat and sassy. This is the second kidding for both Missy and Patches and both had one which will grow fast and do real well. Where Dot is on her first kidding with two and its up in the air how they will do, they sure won’t grow fast.
