The rear of the troop section can be removed for better access to the minifigs and weapons.

This is a toy for playing with after all. :)

This figure is based on the character from animated Clone Wars TV show.

Now let's get into some more recent figure project updates 2/7 - first off, a quick update to the Dass Jennir and Beast set from the Dark Horse Comic series Star Wars: Dark Times (Out of the Wilderness arc). 1:18 scale.

The beast (I'm gonna call it a horse because well, that's what it is) has been thinned down in the neck and the torso. Originally those areas were way too thick. Made the horse look like a miniature clydesdale LOL!

I also sculpted the rear lower legs again to reinforce the knee articulation from bending the wrong direction.

Jennir's update is all about the alternate head sculpt featuring the headdress and hat (hat not features in this update). My original Jennir custom featured a static, alternate head sculpt of the headdress and hat. This time around, I wanted to give the figure's head sculpt free motion within the headdress. With this update, I can get left, right, up and down motion. Slight motion...don't need to go crazy with it but enough to make it special.

I have a feeling I will need to create an alternate lower torso for Jennir sitting on the horse. Was hoping the articulation I created would be enough but the figure may look clumsy when posed. Not sure yet. The details around his waist and ammo belt will have play in all this.

More to come on this guy!

starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mongo_Beefhead_Tribesman

"The Mongo Beefhead Tribesman was a member of the nearly-extinct band of Mongo Beefhead Tribesmen from Tatooine. The tribesman, like the rest of the group, supported the Rebel Alliance."

Okay, back in 1986, the Star Wars movies were over, and Kenner didn't want to lose their cash cow. They came up with a new storyline, characters, vehicles, etc, and basically created the first "Expanded Universe" for Star Wars.

This Mongo Beefhead dude was a kitbashed Squid Head figure with parts from a couple of other figures.

For some reason, my crazy addled brain dredged this up while working late last night, and I was freaking COMPELLED to draw him.

Maybe I'll make a custom figure of him for the ComicCon this year.

I kinda hope that , since they have started incorporating a few bits of the Kenner EU into the mainstream Star Wars literature, that maybe these freaks will show up also. I mean, "Mongo Beefhead" isn't that stupid of a name.
