Graffiti on a wall in Peoria, Illinois proclaiming the futility of existence. Sigh. I don't even know why I even bothered to post this.

I first heard about this when I was 21, while I was dwelling on my own existential anguish, fueled by reading JD Salinger, Sartre and Kafka literature. Ten years later, this essay/spoken word song still rings true. Please read throughout because i really hope it enlightens whoever reads it the way it did me.
If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proven by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will dispense this advice now.
Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Nevermind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded. But trust me, in 20 years youāll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you canāt grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked.
Youāre not as fat as you imagine.
Donāt worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum.
The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday.
Do one thing everyday that scares you.
Sing.
Donāt be reckless with other peopleās hearts, donāt put up with people who are reckless with yours.
Floss.
Donāt waste your time on jealousy; sometimes youāre ahead, sometimes youāre behind. The race is long, and in the end, itās only with yourself.
Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how.
Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.
Stretch.
Donāt feel guilty if you donāt know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didnāt know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still donāt.
Get plenty of calcium.
Be kind to your knees, youāll miss them when theyāre gone.
Maybe youāll marry, maybe you wonāt, maybe youāll have children, maybe you wonāt, maybe youāll divorce at 40, maybe youāll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary. What ever you do, donāt congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either ā your choices are half chance, so are everybody elseās.
Enjoy your body, use it every way you can. Donāt be afraid of it, or what other people
think of it, itās the greatest instrument youāll ever own..
Dance. Even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room. Read the directions, even if you donāt follow them.
Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.
Get to know your parents, you never know when theyāll be gone for good.
Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.
Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.
Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.
Travel.
Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do youāll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders. Respect your elders.
Donāt expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one
might run out.
Donāt mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will look 85.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than
itās worth.
But trust me on the sunscreen.

Mary Schmich's "Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young" was published in the Chicago Tribune as a column on June 1, 1997. In her introduction to the column, she described it as the commencement address she would give if she were asked to give one.
The essay was used in its entirety by Australian film director Baz Luhrmann on his 1998 album Something for Everybody, as "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)."

THE STORY/ The āTwentythird Yearā is a coming of age performance of a young protagonist TRACY trying to make a very own picture of the world. The death of a friend in confrontation with the police and the search for black roots after an easy white childhood triggers new existential questions and problems. Historically the peace from 1988 is the 1st BLACK DRAMA intervention by the Afro German Diaspora struggling for its own public voice in Germany.

The kit and its assembly:
This fictional tank model came to be as a classic what-if, based on the question āwhat could have been a successor of the Soviet ZSU-57-2 SPAAG?ā. Not an existential question that comes to your mind frequently, but it made me wonder ā also because the real-world successor, the ZSU-23-4 āShilkaā, lacked the ZSU-57-2ās range and large-caliber firepower.
From this conceptual basis I decided to retain the 57mm twin guns, add an RPK-2 radar and mount these into a fully enclosed turret. The latter became a leftover M48 turret, which was suitably bulky, and the gun mount was taken from a Modelcollect E-75 SPAAG. However, both were heavily modified: the gun mount lost its boxy armor protection, just the brass barrels and the joint at the base were retained, the rest was scratched from styrene bits and wire. To accept the much taller weapon mount, the turret front had to be re-sculpted with putty, resulting in a boxier shape with steeper side walls ā but the whole affair looks very organic. A simpler commander cupola was used and the whole radar dish arrangement on the rear roof was scratched, too.
The hull came from a Trumpeter T-62, just for the reasons explained in the background: the T-54/55 had a relatively small turret ring, and this caused severe development problems, because the MBT could not take a bigger turret and with it a more powerful cannon. Since this SPAAG would have been developed a couple of years later than the T-54/55, its successor, the T-62, appeared logical, and the āmarriageā with the M48 turret worked like a charm. Even the turretās adapter had the same diameter as the hull opening, I just had to modify the notches that hold it in place! The hull itself remained unmodified.
Painting and markings:
I wanted to place this SPAAG into the Afghanistan theatre of operations, and this was historically not very easy since I had to bridge some fifteen years of service to make this idea work. However, I found a story for the background, and the model received an appropriate paint scheme, based on real world vehicles around 1980 (actually from a BMP-1 operated in northern Afghanistan).
The camouflage consists of three tones, a pale/greyish sand, an olive drab tone and some contrasts in a dark, dull brown ā it reminds of the US Armyās more complex MERDC scheme. The paints became Humbrol 167 (Hemp), Tamiya XF-62 (Olive Drab) and Humbrol 98 (Chocolate), even though the green appears darker than expected due to the high contrast with the sand tone.
The model received an overall washing with dark brown, highly thinned acrylic paint, and some dry-brushing with cream, faded olive drab and light grey. The few markings/decals were taken from the T-62 kit, and everything was sealed with matt acrylic varnish before the lower areas were finally dusted with a greyish-sand brown mix of artist pigments, simulating dust.

ZoƩ Duchesne is a Canadian artist who has worked as a model on the international stage for the last 15 years. She has traveled the world representing the most prestigious brands, and now shares her time between Montreal and Paris.
In her late 20s, Duschesneās love for the camera led her to acting. Before long, she recognized that aspiring actresses are treated much like models, relying on whoever wants to film them. She realized that creating was crucial to her development and so PoupĆ©e was born; a moving and crude character poetically embodying the artistās emotional and psychological experiences.
PoupĆ©e is a broad self-portrait of short films and photographs. This standalone project can also be incorporated in live performance art. Borrowing elements from silent film, theatre of the grotesque and visual arts, the works in this series are a symbolic representation of humansā existential crisis and inevitable loss of innocence. Together, these films and photographs constitute a powerful exhibit echoing phenomena from our consumerist society, such as the reign of image, body worship and hypersexualization. Intimate, witty and touching, Duchesne explores the anxiety stemming from these phenomena and tells of the inevitable path leading to her own rebirth.
A self-taught artist, Duchesne produces her work in a traditional manner. She does not use any artifices or image manipulation techniques typically found in the fashion photography world.

50 Shades of red lobsters.
What Color are Lobsters really?
Lobsters come in many different colors because of the pigment chromatophores in their shells. When they are cooked, all the pigments are masked except for astaxanthin, the red background pigment. The red pigment is the most stable component of the coloring in a lobster. The greens and browns which darken the shell in a live lobster are destroyed by the cooking process.
Fishermen have been known to bring in blue, yellow, red and spotted live lobsters. Usually, when lobsters are hard-shelled, their shells are a darker color. Also, when you cook hard-shell lobsters, their shells will turn a brick red color and sometimes black. Whereas soft-shelled lobsters, when cooked, are a bright red color.

Weathervane Playhouse in Akron, Ohio, presents Edward Albee's "A Delicate Balance" -- live on stage from March 26 to April 12, 2015.
Directed by Craig Joseph, Edward Albee's "A Delicate Balance" is a dark comedy in which the carefully controlled existence of two complacent suburbanites is forever shattered by their family and friends over the course of one eventful weekend.
Describing his play 30 years after its first production, the playwright Edward Albee wrote in 1996 that it concerns āthe rigidity and ultimate paralysis which afflicts those who settle in too easily, waking up one day to discover that all of the choices they have avoided no longer give them any freedom of choice, and that what choices they do have left are beside the point.ā
When the play begins, we meet Agnes and Tobias, a perfectly normal, upper middle-class married couple. With a cushion of wealth to protect them, they would appear to have the best of everything: a beautifully furnished home, the finest china and the most tasteful furniture. But the underpinnings of such a comfortable life have begun to come loose. Live-in sister-in-law Claire drinks too much and delights in trading caustic remarks with Agnes and Tobias. And Julia, Agnes and Tobiasās 36-year-old daughter, has returned home after her fourth failed marriage, a lost child seeking the comfort of hearth and home.
The sudden appearance of Harry and Edna, the neighbors and best friends of Agnes and Tobias, further threatens the rigidly restrained order of suburban splendor. Harry and Edna insist that they cannot return to their own home, due to an undefined āterrorā that has gripped them. With their equilibrium thus upended, can Agnes and Tobias continue to maintain their ādelicate balance?ā
A drama packed with psychological complexity, Edward Albee's" A Delicate Balance" takes audiences on a careening ride from domestic superficiality to a jolting confrontation with lifeās most existential questions.

And these days, I am fighting for my freedom from work! :)
Life is as hell as can be. So much so that I have started questioning the very purpose of existence!! Hahaha... yes, it happens. There are phases. Tomorrow (as in a distant tomorrow) when I have no work, I might again question the purpose of life. Its a vicious cycle. Call it what you may - struggle for survival, one's identity, one's freedom from.... from...I really don't know! Ha! Perhaps, I even do not know what I am stuck in. It could also be that I fear the realization.
Well, enough of that blabbering! :)
I am really sorry for not being in a position to visit your beautiful streams! But I really hope I can soon! Hope you all are doing well and loving the gift of LIFE!! Miss you...like HELL!! ;p
