of all i see
of all i was
of all i could be
the moment
the instant
i spent with you
made me
understand
this is who i am
and this is
this is where
i shall stand
waiting
for years to pass
for time to move
waiting
until i can see you
by birth
i am selected
by fate
i am sealed
breathing
feeling
nothing
nothing
until
until i can see you.

I got out of the car and talked to him. Not crazy, just a good sense of humor. I asked if I could take his photo (it didn't turn out) and he asked me if I thought he was handsome. Piercing blue eyes, unforunately you don't see them here. This was taken about a year ago with my cell. If I remember correctly, he's one of our veterans.

I just got a Panasonic Lumix ZS7 pocket camera to play with. This photo of Icicle Cholla is one of the first photos I got using it. The Leica optics of this camera are nothing short of amazing!
The plant is uncommon to rare in Texas, but exists in very small colonies in Brewster County where I live. It's a beautiful plant, but the slightest touch of one of these spine's tips will result in the silvery sheath coming loose and attaching itself firmly to your skin.Like we say to children, "look but don't touch!"
The dark misery exists in me
spreading itself throughout my body
Hot anger covers me like a cloud
One that seem to downpour
But only upon me...no one else
So many faces pass me by
...but do they care
Shadowed faces, darkened people,
Walking quietly beside their own fears
...Seems to distract them
No longer do I seek dreamland
...it was overtaken
Nightmares rein when time is found
...to sleep in this hell
Fools laugh at what they cannot see
That which they cannot know
They think only with their lips
...how little they know
Blinded by the light of lies
I stand lost in this maze of eternal darkness
All around me souls lie buried or missing
God to rest in peace even with one eye open
I could pretend to hide from the fears
...the ones I created

A light exists in spring
Not present on the year
At any other period.
When March is scarcely here
A color stands abroad
On solitary hills
That science cannot overtake,
But human naturefeels.
It waits upon the lawn;
It shows the furthest tree
Upon the furthest slope we know;
It almost speaks to me.
Then, as horizons step,
Or noons report away,
Without the formula of sound,
It passes, and we stay:
A quality of loss
Affecting our content,
As trade had suddenly encroached
Upon a sacrament.

The story ends early, when a renovation job gets gutted, unfinished, and the old past moves out with none to replace it. These empty rooms set sleeping for strangers, and stories said with no remaining. No retaining of the bits you broke off and left, staring windows watching. Every now and then, I remember to exist, to notice myself and wonder what the reflection gets up to. When it comes to creating, I firmly believe there's no right way, and only one to get it wrong – leave yourself out of the picture. It's some kind of sickness I feel, every time I encounter an artist who implies no personal life. No self-portrait, no secret emotion, no insight to the heart. We're not wandering eyes alone; seeing is only part of sight. This is a call from the incredible darkness of being yourself, illuminated. That's what I live for.

A fascinating story exists behind this odd-looking object. Originally classified as a basic hydrogen emission nebula by Stewart Sharpless in 1959 (hence the designation Sh2-200), a group of astronomers challenged that designation in 1983, believing it to be, instead, a planetary nebula.
A planetary nebula is a type of emission nebula consisting of an expanding, glowing shell of ionized gas ejected from red giant stars late in their lives.
The term "planetary nebula" is a misnomer because they are unrelated to planets. The term originates from the planet-like round shape of these nebulae observed by astronomers through early telescopes.
Sh2-200 was finally confirmed to be a planetary nebula in 2017, when spectroscopic observations showed the strong oxygen and hydrogen alpha emission lines in ratios consistent with planetary nebulae.
The “new” designation of the object is PNG 138.1+04.1 (Galactic coordinate designation used in planetary nebula catalogs)
This image was obtained using narrowband oxygen and hydrogen alpha filters. Hydrogen is mapped to red and oxygen to green and blue. Thus, as is typical for planetary nebulae, the central region appears blue-green and gradually transitions to red toward the outer shell.
In the background there are a couple of areas of hydrogen gas clouds which emit a typical red light. The star images were obtained with normal broadband filters and have normal star color.

This no longer exists, it is now the site of condominiums, built in 2016, shortly after this picture was taken.
"During the height of their success, there were two Apperson (auto) plants in Kokomo. The south plant was built just south of Wildcat Creek between Main and Union street. After the Apperson company failed, the south plant was used as a warehouse for years, most recently by Northern Indiana Supply Company and DeLong Auto Parts. When NISCO closed, much of the building was left empty and began to deteriorate.
In late 2014, an Indianapolis company announced plans to redevelop the south plant buildings as a luxury apartment community. Initial reports indicated that they would retain much of the original structure, but later decisions led to its complete demolition. Bricks from the original structure were salvaged and will become part of the new development.
Plans for the apartments fit a dynamic new vision for the heart of the city, but, bricks or no bricks, the essence of the place and the last vestige of a pioneering automaker are irretrievably gone."

On 4 July 2008, the Re 4/4 163 "Grenchen" of the BLS was still running with passenger trains, here near Rubigen in the Aare Valley. The locomotive, initially called Ae 4/4 II and built in 1967, was decommissioned in December 2015 and no longer exists.

Description in English and Dutch:
I already uploaded photos of the Westduinpark in The Hague near Scheveningen. Wednesday I was in the same park, but then the part near Kijkduin. This is photo number 7 in the new series. It is an impressive dune area that runs approximately from Scheveningen harbor to Kijkduin. There are Scottish Highlanders in the protected nature reserve to control the vegetation and there is really a lot to see in terms of flora and fauna. It is a combination of dunes, open sand area and forest. It is very special there because dunes and forests alternate and sometimes merge into one another. On warm sunny days, a lot of women walk barefoot on the sandy areas, to experience the ultimate feeling of freedom. There are hiking trails as well as cycle paths and horse riding trails in the very interesting park. A lot of people are really impressed by the vegetation, bunkers from the Second World War, steep dune hills and the impressive viewpoints. The view at those points of the beach and the sea and on the other side the buildings of the city is truly phenomenal. Come there once and experience a invisible blanket of oasis and peace. You will imagine yourself in a kind of paradise where worries and problems do not exist and where the war of thoughts in everyone's head disappears like snow in the sun for a moment in time, because freedom is in each of us.

The rockets travelled at supersonic speed, impacted without audible warning, and proved unstoppable, as no effective defense existed. Teams from the Allied forces—the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union—raced to seize major German manufacturing facilities, procure the Germans' missile technology, and capture the V-2’s launching sites. Von Braun and more than 100 important V-2 personnel surrendered to the Americans, and many of the original V-2 team ended up working at the Redstone Arsenal. 1944-1952

Excerpt from en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tung_Yick_Store.jpg:
Tung Yick Store on Nos. 20 A & 21 Lee Yick Street in Yuen Long Kau Hui (Old Market Yuen Long), a former inn providing accommodation to traveling merchants from other villages. The exact year of its construction is not known, but it is believed that it had existed before 1899. It is Grade I historic buildings in Hong Kong, and probably the oldest hotel in Hong Kong that still exists.
With its dazzling combination of blue and gold
The Crucifixion is at the centre of the altarpiece. Christ is represented as dying on the cross. The Blessed Virgin and Saint John stand on either side of the cross, while Mary Magdalene kneels at the foot. This “Calvary” stands on a small altar as a witness of the unity that exists between the sacrifice of the Cross and that of the Mass.
The way to heavenly bliss
The visual composition directed upwards toward the vault of the church indicates the way to eternal happiness in heaven, an ascent amid angels and stars against a deep blue background. This ascent, as a symbol of life, is traced in the sacrifice of Christ and in the Mass.
Statues of the prophets Isaiah and Daniel, carved by the sculptor Louis-Philippe Hébert in 1882, appear on the right and left sides of the altarpiece.
Over the choir stalls on the right and left sides are six polychrome (painted) statues.
First on the right is Saint Paul, with a sword of his martyrdom in Rome, where he was beheaded. Next are two evangelists and their respective symbols: Matthew, with a winged male figure, and Luke, with his winged ox.
To the left of the altar stands Saint Peter with his keys, and the rooster, recalling Peter’s betrayal of Jesus, his master and friend on the morning of His suffering and death. Then the other two evangelists: John, holding a chalice symbolizing his love for the Eucharist, with the eagle, a sign of his far-seeing gospel, and Mark with his winged lion.
