Artfully decorated and richly adorned, The Executive Boardroom is ideal for executive board meetings, business events, and corporate presentations.
Got an Assignment to shoot a portrait which shows the character of the person. I have clicked Ms Shama Bhardwaj. Her Brother had a medical emergency today and she had to rush to the hospital. Despite this, she came home, got dressed up as instructed and appeared for the shoot without much delay. I have tried to capture both her Avtars...first the TEACHER and the EXECUTIVE.
She has been a Teacher all her life with Apeejay. But currently she is an executive with BSI. She cooks at home frequently, is a jovial person, but too serious when it comes to her work.
I have tried to do the lighting in such a way, so as to simulate the low light levels coming from the laptop, which falls on the chest and not much on the face.
Used two lights(one snoot, one soft box, one reflector, one cutter).

The Cinnamon Grand is the largest hotel in the capital city of Colombo with well over 500 rooms in 3 towers overlooking the lovely Beira Lake. The complex consists of 10 acres in a prime location at the heart of Colombo’s shopping and commercial districts. As one of the major resort hotels of the island, the facilities at this 5 star hotel are up there with the best hotels found in the region.
Rooms are split between the Premium Wing, primarily for business travellers and the Courtyard Wing, where the rooms are located around the enormous hotel atrium that will definitely appeal more to leisure bound guests.
It’s the huge variety of restaurants and bars that really make The Cinnamon Grand a special place in Colombo. These are among the best in the whole of South Asia. The Lagoon serves fresh seafood in a courtyard setting. The Balinese style Breeze Bar is outdoor, casual and wonderfully atmospheric at night. Chutneys features the exquisite flavours of South India and there’s even Cheers, an authentic British pub with darts and pub-grub!
You can walk from The Cinnamon Grand to the Galle Face Green, the city’s main open space overlooking the Indian Ocean. Great for an evening stroll just before sunset when crowds throng to the green. Crescat is an exclusive Shopping Mall situated within the hotel complex. The Angsana Spa, run by Banyan Tree Hotels offers invigorating treatments to squeeze away stress, while soothing music and the fragrance of exotic oils help you rediscover essential sensory pleasures. The ground floor pool at the hotel is also possibly the largest outdoor pool in the city.

so I had the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone and shoot an entire series of photos for this office.....they wanted a group shot, but not the staid traditional kind. Fortunately, Asheville is filled with wonderful buildings......now as for the rest of the shots...let's just say I learned a thing or two about what to do and what not to do when shooting indoors in office lighting (boy do I have a lot more to learn!!)
Executive Chef Michael Schmidt talks with Greg Coleborn about the depth, skill and talent in the properties Banquets team.
In full swing, the banquets kitchen can be a hive of activity. Moving from buffet breakfasts in the morning, the usual morning and afternoon tea finger foods, working lunches in the afternoon, through to Vietnamese cuisine for a gala banquet in the evening.
One of the key factors for Michael and the team is a working relationship built up over many years; combined with a diverse background of skills, culture and experience, and a corporate philosophy that empowers the individual to get the job done.
All these factors working together creates such a strong glue and positive working environment, that has not only helped employees stay with the property - but provides ample opportunity for advancement through the ranks, or even towards opportunities to command the F&B kingdoms of other hotels within the Hilton group.
