This photo was meant to convey an aggressive mood, and I think the execution of that was well done. I enjoyed applying the contrast of the sweet and fragile fruit, with the aggression from the hand. When editing, I used a bit more hue of blue and to make it feel colder and distant. The focal point of this photo is the part of the strawberry that is still intact and the curved flow of the juice helps the eyes flow downward. Once the eyes reach the bottom of the fist, the pattern of the white knuckles move the eyes back upwards. I also love the textures in the photo. The textures include the strawberry seeds, the wet bubbles of the juice, the residue of the berry on the bottom of the hand, and lastly, the texture of the skin. With the use of a bright light source and flash, I was able to capture all of the texture details. The textures that stand out the most to me are the bubbles created by the strawberries and the Unfortunately, it feels a bit chaotic on the upper half of the photo, and too idle at the bottom. I am not sure how to fix that. Because of this, I edited the bottom half to make it darker. The darker shadow creates contrast from the object, make the composition more interesting to look at.
I think this image is a very artistic one, because of how interesting it is to the viewer’s eye. Looking at it a bit deeper, allows for some emotions to speak up. There are many aspects that help the eyes keep moving, and that capture of the view’s attention makes me feel confident about this composition. I tried to implement more movement by artificially adding the long juice drop at the bottom; however, I don't feel satisfied by it. The line of the droplet seems too thin to make a big enough impact. Overall, I enjoyed taking and editing this image. It was an opportunity for me be really creative with a limited amount of objects, to create a really interesting piece. I was appreciative of the feedback I received from my classmates. This photo was the most mentioned, of all the other fruit photos. I think the “shock factor” of this image resulted in that kind if popularity.

The "E" on the building to the right is a reminder of the past: The E stands for Execution Dock where pirates like Captain Kidd were hung in 1701 and his body displayed in chains. Seen during a boat ride from Greenwich to Tower Pier.
