The Warsaw Citadel is a fortress that was built in the 19th century when most of Poland was under Russian occupation. It was commissioned by Tsar Nicholas I after the suppression of the 1830 November Uprising, in order to bolster Russian control of Warsaw. As well as housing a Russian garrison it also served as a prison and place of execution.

By kind permission of the Royal Parks Department, the King’s Army Annual March and Parade will again follow the route taken by Charles I from St James Palace on the Mall to the place of his untimely death at the Banqueting House in Whitehall, London. This event is an established part of the London calendar and has followed a similar format now for forty years. The parade assembles from 11am outside St James Palace on The Mall and marches to form up on Horse Guards Parade, a considerable privilege for an organisation such as ourselves, from where a wreath is carried across Whitehall and placed at the execution site. A short service follows and awards and commissions are conferred on deserving members of the King’s Army.

Cadastral Community: Inner City. The fountain of Providentia was built in 1739 by Georg Raphael Donner, the execution of the figures stemming from Johann Nikolaus Moll. On an above several steps elevated stone basin there is in the center of the pool on a fluted baluster the bronze figure of seated Providentia with a snake and a sign (Janus face) in her hands. The pedestal is flanked by four putti with water-spouting fishes. At the poolside, there are four river gods with attributes.

Katastralgemeinde: Innere Stadt. Der Providentiabrunnen wurde 1739 von Georg Raphael Donner errichtet, wobei die Ausführung der Figuren von Johann Nikolaus Moll stammt. Auf einem über mehrere Stufen erhöhten Steinbassin befindet sich in der Mitte des Beckens auf einem kannelierten Baluster die Bronzefigur der sitzenden Providentia mit einer Schlange und einem Schild (Januskopf) in den Händen. Das Postament wird von vier Putten mit wasserspeienden Fischen flankiert. Am Beckenrand befinden sich vier Flussgötter mit Attributen.

" I was injured by the Felucians, and brought to an Imperial outpost that was captured and burnt down earlier today. I was hung from my feet above the fire, being cooked like a marshmallow on a summer day back on Tatooine. I felt a sharp pain in my left leg, someone had thrown a metal shard at me! As the Felucian leaped over a fallen wall, I turned and planted one end of the spear into the ground, driving the other end straight through him. I dropped the spear, and ran to what used to be the communications room, finding a dinosaur of a communication device, and used it to signal the nearest outpost, warning it of an attack."
