Safdarjung's Tomb is a garden tomb with a marble mausoleum in New Delhi, India. It was built in 1754 in the late Mughal Empire style, and was described as "the last flicker in the lamp of Mughal architecture". The top storey of the edifice houses the Archaeological Survey of India. The garden, in the style evolved by the Mughal Empire that is now known as the Mughal gardens style influenced by Persian gardens style, is entered through an ornate gate. Its facade is decorated with elaborate plaster carvings.

The mausoleum has lent its name to Safdarjung Airport, Safdarjung Road, Safdarjung Terminal, Safdarjung Hospital, and localities like Safdarjung Enclave and Safdarjung Development Area (SDA), all nearby in New Delhi.

The tomb was built for Safdarjung, the powerful prime minister of Muhammad Shah who was the weak Mughal emperor from 1719 to 1748. The central tomb has a huge dome. There are four water canals leading to four buildings. One has an ornately decorated gateway while the other three are pavilions, with living quarters built into the walls. Octagonal towers are in the corners. The canals are four oblong tanks, one on each side of the tomb.

Evolve Beauty Lounge

All I can really say is that this show was bigger and better than I had ever hoped for. Evolve took on a life of its own and so many of the artists shared their own powerful stories of overcoming whatever life has tossed along their path.

Over 20 photographers, ceramicists and artists were part of this event. Gay, straight, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender, Black Latino, White, Armenian, poor, broke, rich, wealthy, HIV positive, HIV negative and even two homeless individuals were all artists in this show. The was a direct representation of what Los Angeles looks like and together we showed why we are the City of Angels

About 400 attended the opening at Art Share-LA in Downtown Los Angeles. The event was a complete success with people coming from as far north as Sacramento as far south as San Diego. New York, Denver and even two folks from Atlanta made the trek to the Evolve opening. I was completely blown away.

Big thanks to all the artists for their beautiful pieces, my family, friends and supporters for continuing to embrace my work through Project KengiKat and Do Something Saturday and to everyone who donated and attended the event I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

Mammals are the dominant group of terrestrial vertebrates on Earth today. The group is defined based on a combination of features: endothermic (= warm-blooded), air-breathing, body hair, mother's milk, four-chambered heart, large brain-to-body mass ratio, two teeth generations, differentiated dentition, and a single lower jawbone. Almost all modern mammals have live birth - exceptions are the duck-billed platypus and the echidna, both of which lay eggs.

Mammals first appear in the Triassic fossil record - they evolved from the therapsids (mammal-like reptiles). Mammals were mostly small and a minor component of terrestrial ecosystems during the Mesozoic. After the Cretaceous-Tertiary mass extinction at 65 million years ago, the mammals underwent a significant adaptive radiation - most modern mammal groups first appeared during this radiation in the early Cenozoic (Paleocene and Eocene).

Three groups of mammals exist in the Holocene - placentals, marsupials, and monotremes. Other groups, now extinct, were present during the Mesozoic.

Giraffa is a genus of odd, long-legged, long-necked mammals known from the Miocene to the Holocene. Eight or nine species or subspecies are known in the Holocene, depending on taxonomic preferences. Masai giraffes are native to parts of equatorial and subequatorial East Africa.

Classification: Animalia, Chordata, Vertebrata, Artiodactyla, Giraffidae

IN THIS SUMMARY

In Evolve or Die, Robin Crow illustrates how those businesses that adapt the fastest are the ones that succeed the most. Amidst accelerating population growth, diminishing natural resources, increasing demand for energy, environmental problems, and financial uncertainty, businesses must evolve in order to stay alive. Crow reveals how these major global challenges actually create opportunities for growth. He offers seven steps to creating sustainable, profitable business solutions that will prepare organizations for the future, and make the world a better place in the process. As the population grows and developing countries use more resources, the same pattern of growth that has brought a century of progress now threatens a dramatic reversal. Business leaders must start thinking ahead and preparing their organizations for the future. In order to survive and prosper, businesses models must be designed to succeed over the next decade, not just the next quarter.
