All I can really say is that this show was bigger and better than I had ever hoped for. Evolve took on a life of its own and so many of the artists shared their own powerful stories of overcoming whatever life has tossed along their path.
Over 20 photographers, ceramicists and artists were part of this event. Gay, straight, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender, Black Latino, White, Armenian, poor, broke, rich, wealthy, HIV positive, HIV negative and even two homeless individuals were all artists in this show. The was a direct representation of what Los Angeles looks like and together we showed why we are the City of Angels
About 400 attended the opening at Art Share-LA in Downtown Los Angeles. The event was a complete success with people coming from as far north as Sacramento as far south as San Diego. New York, Denver and even two folks from Atlanta made the trek to the Evolve opening. I was completely blown away.
Big thanks to all the artists for their beautiful pieces, my family, friends and supporters for continuing to embrace my work through Project KengiKat and Do Something Saturday and to everyone who donated and attended the event I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

“An evolved intellect”
The High Evolutionary, Herbert Edgar Wyndham, meets a like minded friend in Ex Nihilo
Big fan of the F4 retro card gimmick, even more so of the retro Spider-Man cards, and as soon as I saw this guy I knew there was an unfamiliar character I needed to take a deep dive into.
Looking for a digital trade paperback of the Evolutionary Wars (88) if anyone has a suggestion? Not seeing it on Amazon or Marvel’s app.
Very cool sculpt and colors on this guy. Happy to add him to the Cosmic shelf!

we grow
we ripen
we flourish
we expand
(our horizons, our loves, our beliefs, our confidence)
we evolve
and
we become. . .
who we are meant to be.

Level up to unlock new hunter or monster characters as well as upgrades, skins and perks. Earn your infamy on the leaderboards and become the apex predator.

Urban Art EFX Amsterdam 2012 - Artwork
More infos: www.urban-art-efx.com
Urban Stylistix presents the international exhibition URBAN ART EFX Amsterdam from June 21st to July 15th. For the second time 15 Dutch and international artists exhibit artwork on canvas, sculptures, installations, photography and video art at CBK Amsterdam.
The exhibition titled "from urban to contemporary" showcases an eclectic selection of current works of key players of the urban art movement. It highlights a snap-shot of their current artistic development as well as the story behind an up-and-coming artist generation, whose roots lay in the Graffiti and Street-art culture. The featured artists matured their work into the international art and gallery scene, continuously advancing their artistic expression, techniques, orientation and professionalism. They have evolved beyond their street-art roots, emancipating their picture language from sub-cultural ties of their early years into an own representative and unique style.

Laura.
