"Evolution and the Second Law (of Thermodynamics) cannot both be true. The Second Law, however, has been confirmed by all sorts of scientific tests, while evolution is a model not even capable of being tested scientifically. If one must make a choice, it would be better to go with science!"
Gary E Parker
It's been a month for evolution and seemingly endless days out to places like Sydney and Canberra. Also plenty of sky, and a life-affirming run on the beach.

The rare Mitsubishi Shogun Evolution...
Not a patch on the Overfinch Range-Rover but a damn sight more affordable

Proving yet again that no bike is ever truly "done", I flipped the stem on my Kogswell yesterday. It's an 80mm 6-degree stem from Velo Orange, so I got another couple of inches of rise, and approximately a 15% increase in fun. I'm now nearly totally upright on the bike.
Unfortunately, the change in position has also changed the rating of the Brooks saddle from "acceptable" to "verging on ass-hatchet".
Day 24: Evolution
Yesterday, I went to Goodwill to browse and maybe, hopefully, find something that would inspire me for the next few days. I ended up finding exactly what I wanted (a fishbowl) along with this gorgeous chiffon wrap dress. I cut off the wrap ties so it would be more wearable for me, but I absolutely love the fabric, and the construction is definitely better than Target these days.
This isn't the photo I wanted using this dress. I tried to get The Shot, but I took over 750 photos today and The Shot wasn't one of them. During the shoot, everything that could go wrong was absolutely going wrong. My battery died, my card was full, and about 600/750 shots came out as out of focus.
I decided to fall back on my backup shoot today because I want to re-do my idea later on. In the meantime, this new cardigan will treat me well.
Discovered my Argus C3 from 1955 among my thousands of slides taken with it. Earned it selling magazine subscriptions to steel mill workers while working as a laborer during summer college recess. It weighs 1.8 lbs. Quite an evolution to my Nikon P4. Argus has a spring loaded leaf shutter. See large
