Flamenco, in its strictest sense, is an art form based on the various folkloric music traditions of southern Spain, developed within the gitano subculture of the region of Andalusia, but also having a historical presence in Extremadura and Murcia. In a wider sense, it is a portmanteau term used to refer to a variety of both contemporary and traditional musical styles typical of southern Spain. Flamenco is closely associated to the gitanos of the Romani ethnicity who have contributed significantly to its origination and professionalization. However, its style is uniquely Andalusian and flamenco artists have historically included Spaniards of both gitano and non-gitano heritage.
The oldest record of flamenco music dates to 1774 in the book Las Cartas Marruecas by José Cadalso. The development of flamenco over the past two centuries is well documented: "the theatre movement of sainetes (one-act plays) and tonadillas, popular song books and song sheets, customs, studies of dances, and toques, perfection, newspapers, graphic documents in paintings and engravings. ... in continuous evolution together with rhythm, the poetic stanzas, and the ambiance.”
On 16 November 2010, UNESCO declared flamenco one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

This image from a 1921 children's book illustrates that while the scopes trial minimised discussion of evolution in children's books it may also have radicalized children's book publishers to create more explicit references to evolution in books for even younger children. In this picture we see not only explicit connections between men and 'monkeys' but also a representation of what these books intended to offer young children. The boy in this picture, through study is able to uncover his evolutionary lineage.

Saw these two there together and thought it would do for a nice "evolutive" picture, specially since both are pretty much the same color.
If this Sebring is the one I am thinking about then it used to wear chromed hubcaps which has kept losing one by one, it's registered in 2001.
The Stratus on the other hand was quite dirty and accumulated a lot of dust in both the body and the wheels, perhaps not moved from there for a long time now. Its front plate was damaged so I cannot see the letters propertly but I'm guessing it's BZW therefre registered in 2002 (is it too new for the car? wiki says this generation ended production in 2000. But perhaps it lasted a bit longer here?).

Its now been a full 12 months since these 1/64 Bburago models began to appear on the pegs of Poundworld and latterly Home Bargains and most stores i've visited recently continue to get fresh supplies of them so there are obviously still large stocks in various warehouses somewhere! Sadly in all that period the actual choice of castings hasn't changed one bit which is frustrating as judging by what i've seen on the internet this range was somewhat bigger! The shock of seeing them on the pegs back in February 2016 meant quite a lot came home with me initially though I haven't bought any more since. The packaging optimistically states "Italian Designed" though i'm certainly not convinced as Bburago is now merely a brand name owned by Mai Cheong and these castings are nothing more than rebadged Maistos. On the plus side these are a lot more professional looking than your average mainline Maisto with this 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution boasting a proper interior and more attention to detailing such as full badging and painted lights, the casting looks crisp especially in this plain white colour and its modified lowered stance is believable on a vehicle like this. Mint and boxed.
