Circa 1688-1712 (approximately). It sits on one of the city's original cobblestone streets and is constructed of 18-inch thick pink Bermuda stone. Over the course of 300 years, this small building has survived over thirty hurricanes, two major earthquakes, two wars, snow storms, and multiple catastrophic fires. It is listed in the National Register as part of the French Quarter District and dons a plaque proudly identifying it as The Pink House.

I just had the sudden urge to upload a photo, and this was the first thing that I saw that was mildly acceptable. From day 322

I can't even begin to explain how happy I am. I love college, I love Philly, I love my classes, I love my major, I love my friends, I love my floor, I love my roommate. I love the city and the weather and the fact that its going to start getting cold soon and the leaves will be changing and I'm going to get to experience and actual fall and winter. I love everything about my new life, and even though I miss my old friends and my family and my house and my dog and my cats, I am just so so happy to be here.

I'm in a black and white film class right now and I developed photos for the first time last week! and I was like the only person who hadn't ever done that before but oh well it was exciting. I'll try to post some of those soon. And I've been taking a lot of other photos, but I want to edit them before posting them but gimp seems to have disappeared off my new computer and I haven't gotten photoshop yet but I'll be getting it soon.

The Queen Mary attraction is again in financial trouble. The current operator, Urban Commons, is in bankruptcy. This is a smaller and different version of the Wildhorse Cave shot I posted before. While I was shooting inside the cave I decided to play around with the battery powered fiber optic light wires I had. There are 5 colored wires (white, blue, red, pink, and orange) a few feet long, I just turned them on and walked around for the exposure which produces a cool light ribbon effect.

The foreground shots (6 total) are 1 minute exposures, f4, ISO 400. The sky shot is a 1 minute exposure, f4, ISO 1600 with the Skytracker turned on. Cave shots stitched with PTGui and everything edited in Photoshop/Lightroom.

A Tree 2020: I recently found a replacement app for Quad Camera. This one is named SoSo Camera. It provides up to 8 rows of 8 frames for a maximum of 64 images. Each frame is about 400 pixels square. SoSo Camera also includes 12 filters and toy lens effect. I found this tree last week at Peppertree Park and made this 3x3 montage.
