Every autumn I enjoy walking around with my camera looking at the fall colours. Leaves change colour in the fall, because of changes in the length of daylight and changes in temperature at night. Small leaves from a tree or bush which have the mixture of red, pink, purple, orange and yellow colours grabbed my attention. Because of being different is great, but it is hard. People know that.

The theme for "Looking Close on Friday" for Friday 6th of March is "bokeh in flora" (no black and white. For the theme, I have opted to go back into my archives and select a photo from one of my favourite times of the year: spring time! So we go back to a beauifully mild day with blue skies that are only this rich azure in spring. Out on one of my strolls with my camera, I was about to turn down one street, when I noticed a blaze of brilliant white in a different direction that caught my eye. Walking towards it, I discovered that it was a white sakura blossom tree in full bloom, like a beautiful blossom cloud.
Also known as Japanese cherry blossom, seeing the sakura blossom tree covered in delicate white blossoms, put me in mind of the beautiful debutantes of my youth on the arms of their deb's delights, arrayed in their lovely white dresses, waiting to be presented to mayors, councillors, admirals and government ministers. I don't think debutante balls are fashionable nowadays, nor done any more, but for me they hark back to a time that in my opinion was a more genteel period in history.
A cherry blossom, also known as a Japanese cherry or sakura, is a flower of trees in the genus Prunus or the Prunus subgenus Cerasus. Wild species of the cherry tree are widely distributed, mainly in the Northern Hemisphere. They are common in East Asia, especially in Japan. They generally refer to ornamental cherry trees, not cherry trees grown for their fruit. The cherry blossom is considered the national flower of Japan.

Every 6:00am the Monks go to pray for lucky for the villager, and the villager will give them some food, so they will know the economic and livelihood.
Every now and then you see an image on Flickr that really impresses you. Just recently I saw two on Andy Gant's stream of two different boats. This is not my attempt to copy them, because they are unique, but to praise them. Very well done, I like what you do.
Also this is the last image that I will be posting to Flickr for at least two weeks. I have accumulated many books again and will be putting them on EBay. Every year I discover more Wild Geraniums growing in our flower garden. A bit of online sleuthing helped me understand just how powerful these little flowers are at spreading their seeds. Here's to having scads of perennial flowers and sedum in one's garden. Every year brings more flowers to love.
