Over 80 teachers, high school students, and American diplomats filled the Honolulu Room of the U.S. Embassy to acknowledge and congratulate the finalists and the winners of the English essay contest “The Meaning of Tolerance in the Modern World”. The contest, which drew 364 submissions from 32 high schools and national colleges throughout Bucharest, was launched in December in coordination with the 63rd anniversary of the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Libby Gitenstein, wife the U.S. Ambassador to Bucharest, Cristina Balan, Director of the U.N. Information Center in Romania, Giovana Soare, Communication and Human Resources Director at Apa Nova, and Daniela Stanculescu from the Bucharest City Mayor Office, each made remarks, emphasizing the importance of upholding human rights in democratic society (Lucian Crusoveanu / Public Diplomacy Office)

Based on the concept that I designed the band's logo, of each show be a place where the public can enter and help themselves with good music, my proposal for this essay was to develop the Groove a la Carte Club. Because of that, I chose the noir style. Lights, location, make up, expressions, everything was set up to achieve this aesthetic. For the location, I searched a closed environment with little enlightenment. Luckyly I found a snooker bar that was really everything I had imagined. I worked with Lucia Ferreira, a makeup designer, and the assistant Gabrielle Moreira. One of the funniest parts of the project was certainly the study I did about the noir language. I watched several films, from "The Lady from Shanghai" to the more recent ones, as "The Black Dalia." One of the challenges was to apply the noir style to colors, since most of the material is black and white.

Friday before Halloween. Death is inevitable. Might as well die young, or at least live life till then. All I can hear in the music is we're gona die young.
Maybe not too young. I'm vaccinated. That's been a game changer in terms of life getting mostly back to what is sometimes defined as "normal."
I was also dancing away from the crowd and near a big fan bringing in outside air. Wearing my mask as well, so life can go on.
Sometimes I think the anti vax, shutdown politics is from a subconscious acceptance of death and risk. As death is inevitable, people rebel against cowering to that fear.
It's a balancing act between risk and going ahead with a fun life.
Especially with the vaccine, we can play. Yes there are break through cases, but there are also traffic accidents, bike accidents (I ride a bike carefully). The clock keeps ticking. Everyone is getting older.
Whatever we do, our time on this planet is limited. Happy Halloween 2021.

Do they know that their names are being used to sell illegal and immoral essay writing services? Frankly, I don't think the language used in these articles is tough enough, either.
The Times doesn't even come out and say it's wrong, and the Telegraph actually has the balls to ask "are [Oxbridge Essay writers] simply encouraging plagiarism?" No you asshats, they're physically producing it on a massive scale!
This stuff really makes me sick. Makes me sick that these companies are allowed to exist. Makes me sick that the newspapers don't seem to care that their names are being abused. And most of all makes me sick that there's a market for buying essays.

The five winners of Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini's annual 'Honor Our Veterans' essay contest along with their teachers and families toured the Joint Training and Training Development Center at Joint Military Base: McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst took part in a day of military-themed activities, where they gained hands-on experience utilizing technology that is used to train our soldiers.
