A sweet little Iris Reticulata in the morning light at the Lyman Conservatory earlier today. "Titan," the latest named snow storm to roar across the U. S., stayed south of us last night and we didn't get any snow at all. Sorry for all of you who were buried with snow and ice, but thrilled for our "great escape!"

One old shop has escaped the developers in Croydon. Specialises in flutes and other wind instruments, currently closed during the pandemic.
With a heavy rain shower in the distance providing a backdrop, Freightliner Class 66/5 No. 66517 rounds the gentle curve approaching Rowston level crossing on the G. N. & G. E. Joint line with 4E24, the 10:49 London Gateway – Leeds FLT intermodal on 24th March 2023.

On Saturday we went to San Francisco to watch the history Solar Impulse solar aircraft fly over the Golden Gate Bridge. We had a nice picnic a Crissy Field. I took this shot of Alcatraz with a tele-zoom lens.
I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from a RAW exposure, selectively merged them, and carefully pulled the curves to make the scene pop.
